Well we do have an idea about whether AR is being discouraged from running and it came straight from the coach's mouth at halftime on Saturday.

Sounds a lot like Kentucky Basketball for that last 8-10 years.

We know nothing about Kitna. He could be Trask for all we know or he could be Treon. We don’t know until we see more.

Having said that, we’re not asking AR to do something that’s out of line for a an athletic mobile QB. I’ve harped about the option reads enough, but when it’s 3rd and short and he’s got 8 seconds in the pocket with nothing but green grass in front of him, scramble for that first down.

Those plays were there along with the option keepers all day long. We all could see them. Not asking for Superman, just asking for Clark Kent to do his job at the newspaper office.

Rashada comin tells you all you need to know about AR coming back. AR is 100% gone and 150% making business decisions out there. But to think Napier is scheming the game to help him with the NFL
is silly. Napier just isn’t a top level play caller. Great game plans, next level run calls, sub par passing and no feel for the game. He needs an OC and special teams coach stat - Look no further than Jimbo if you wanna see how poorly you can do with great recruiting and no offense

I don’t know if AR has really made his mind up to leave or not. I’m not convinced he has. But he could have have grabbed the bull by the horns and willed us to a win against Vandy if he had that spark, competitiveness and desire in him. He is as big, strong, fast and as athletically gifted as any QB we’ve ever had. He should be picking up critical third downs with a high degree of consistency: especially against overmatched teams like Vanderbilt.
Watching the game from the bench for a series or two tends to motivate some players. Ask SOS.

My goodness, the AR apologists on this board. You people have excuses for EVERY valid question or argument concerning his production/gameplay, even if it means throwing our coach under the bus. Which by the way, coach has not done to AR.
It sucks that AR has had to endure the ridiculous amount of pressure and expectation that NIL (welcome to the demise of college football if it is not reined in soon), the media and NFL scouts have placed on him, but I am not a bad fan because I believe this has negatively affected his development/decision making - to the point of him looking beyond his present duties as the QB of the University of Florida.

It may be unfair, but scrutiny comes with playing the qb position. If you think UF fans are critical, just wait if/when he steps on the NFL field. The noise will be exponentially louder. Just comes with the territory.

We will read of Anthony Richardson rise (nonsensical) and fall as if it affects us. I feel that he was gone after reading he is making 1 mil on NIL. The game sucks now. .AR is part of that suck and he is too young to know it.
    Go Gators!

Yet other QBs making that don’t seem to have a problem. OSU and USC QBs to name a couple. Just dominate and win. They don’t play tentative and lose game after game.

Is recognizing that it’s better to keep the ball and roll out while 11 defenders are crashing on the RB off tackle “Heisman level performance “?

It seems clear that people are pushing two different arguments that are not mutually exclusive:

One side argues that AR did not lose the game for us. They’re right.

The other side argues that while multiple head-scratching screwups are to blame for this loss, AR still could have won the game for us if he’d only made the obvious read and kept the ball on numerous opportunities inside the red zone. They’re right too.

It’s possible for both sides to be right when they’re arguing different points. Surely by now you can see this.

You’re already seeing that when star players opt to sit out bowl games and watch their former teammates play from the sidelines. How else do you explain Big 10 and PAC 10 players sitting out their once-cherished Rose Bowl?

If they were on my team and opted out they would have to buy a ticket or watch it on the tube.

Agreed. Place an athlete on a pedestal with no integrity or desire and then throw on the college football sport breaking NIL and the Danny Wuerffels of the world disappear. Greed over common sense rules. AR will not become his greatest in life without facing the obstacles but then who cares...make a kid rich for absolutely zero investment in the world around him. Get a degree. Feed the poor. You simply aren't all that AR. Prove yourself as a human.
