Says the guy who doesn't understand the topic of his own thread. Let's see, so far you have claimed that the SC tossed this guy off the case (they didn't) and that the House can do the same (they can't). This is an executive branch investigation. Or rather series of investigations.

Second, Presidents don't have rights to the documents after their terms have expired nor can they just claim any document is declassified without any prior documentation. Those documents belong to the federal government, as managed by the National Archives. They typically work with the former President to set up a library, but they belong to the archives and any possession of documents is only done with their explicit permission.

Beyond that, the notion of magical thought declassification is a completely unworkable system, as any past President could just claim that they declassified all documents that are classified in their mind and suddenly nothing is classified. Obviously, that is not in keeping with the law.

And yes, people have the legal right to give you medical advice as long as they don't lie about their credentials when doing so. Which is why nobody has arrested you for your anti-vax posts.

 

Presidents have authority to declassify. But process must be followed. Because without the process, how is someone without clearance supposed to know which docs are still classified, and which have been declassified? Any evidence Trump followed the process with the docs he took? No.

You had never heard of Jack Smith before this week (I sure as hell didn’t), and your entire opinion of him is based on some hack pieces by right-wing media, perhaps just this Solomon piece. The guy is a suit. A lawyer. A prosecutor. He’s your new enemy #1 because he’s investigating your lord god. That’s it. It’s as simple as this. Trump had the authority to declassify documents when he was president. To do so he had to follow a formal procedure. There is absolutely no evidence that he had done so. And by the way the FBI did not "break in" to Mar-a-Lago. They conducted a search pursuant to a lawfully issued search warrant.

 

Who does he have to claim it to?
