Your "ace" prosecutor got canned from the January 6 clown show trial ! LMFAO! Deal with it.

Who else do you think Merrick Garland will get to "prosecute" Trump? Is he going to get an old ENRON prosecutor next? Is Andrew Weissemann next? Or are they going to get that fossil, Robert Mueller?

I think the war crimes prosecutor will be just fine.

Bling, tell me if you think this case will even continue after the new House leadership takes over?

Rick needs to reread what he posted, because it doesn't say anything about the supreme court kicking the SP off the case... Which I'm pretty sure they can't do anyway, due to the balance of power...

Interesting. If you are going to lecture others about reading articles, try and comprehend things first. Like… have a clue?

Has Smith been kicked off this special council case? Nope. This is Solomon’s feeble attempt to cast shade on him. He has not been removed from anything. It’s been like a day man, the Supreme Court doesn’t work that fast!

So what did the Supreme Court “Overturn”? What is Solomon taking about? The successful corruption conviction of Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell. This guy as prosecutor got a corruption conviction against McDonnell in 2014, the court overturned the conviction in 2016. So… yay corruption?

Wait, so now the house is going to remove him? But I thought the Supremes already did that? Nice goalpost shift.

The guy works for the executive branch, the house cannot “remove” him just as they couldn’t “remove” Mueller. The process has to play out. I’m sure the loonies in the House will grandstand, but ultimately they have no power.

I don’t even like the appointment of special council, I see it as kicking the can further down the road (where it’s already obvious Trump should have been charged for several criminal acts). But this straw grasping is amusing nonetheless.

This show trial will go nowhere. You know it and I know it.

Tell us again which law was it that did Trump broke? Does anyone know which law he broke? Laws have to be broken to get prosecuted.

No, the House is going to de-fund this circus trial, and they should.

Which one law did Trump break?

When did Trump say to "riot" the Capital?

Also, why is this a crime at all when it was the Capital police that willingly let the people into the Capital building?

Not a riot... Not an insurrection... Trump is not responsible for other people's actions.

Show us the weapons these so called "insurrectionists" used after they we let into the Capital building?

Theft of classified documents. Enough to result in execution but I’ll settle for an extended stay in a Supermax prison (don’t want him to get hurt while he’s incarcerated).

Trump can declassify any and all documents in his possession as POTUS at will, all presidents can and do.

Sorry, but many scholars have said that the POTUS has the right to take documents like all other presidents in the past have done, including Obama.

And the FBI already 'sheepishly' admitted that NO NUCLEAR SECRETS were "stolen" from the WH. IOW, the FBI's thuggish break in to Trump's residency yielded ZERO nuclear secrets in Trump's house/possession. And nothing he took is against the law.

Trump wasn't President anymore. And Obama worked with the National Archives per the law every step of the way. Did Trump? No.

Trump had some of the most classified of classified docs in his possession. Anyone else but a former POTUS who had documents this top secret and didn't return them when asked, would've been charged already.
