Say something good about Florida!

Boy, that pic takes me back. In 1967 the automatic Chevy Chaparral lost a lap when didn't start. It chased the Ford GT for much of the race, caught it and then the gear box failed. But...the most fun for a 15 year old kid.... My buddy and I sneaked up to the tethered Goodyear blimp at night. It weighed about 20 lbs! I lifted it and bounced it on its tire to my friend and we played catch with it for about 5 minutes until the guards saw it and chased us away. I took a 5lb canvas bag of ballast with me.

Roseate spoonbills, gophers, panthers..and more beauty in special places.

 

My family has roots that go back to the 1800s in Florida. Part of why we bleed orange and blue.
