Yes, but as teams spread defenses out, they have to run a lot of Nickel and the LBs in the game have to be able to cover.
Jelani Jenkins played middle and weak side if I recall and was one of the best coverage backers we have had.
Rolin started off playing a lot as a Freshman, got hurt...couldn't get healthy and transferred. I think to USCe where I think he played a little. Anzalone also played immediately and got hurt and stayed hurt every year until he was a Sr. and had a healthy year and was a beast. He was also a beast for New Orleans until he got hurt again. McMillan was as highly rated as all the rest (maybe more) but only saw substantial playing time his Sr. year. Davis managed to stay healthy and had the best career of them all and was the lowest rated of the bunch.
New rules and Refs that don't know what interference is have handicapped the Defenses so much its almost become a two hand touch game.
Post #109 of Malik Bryant thread, with no news on Malik Bryant, but always gets me to click on it since it’s always on the top.
This is so hilarious to me because that is what my Dad used to do in front of the pesky "check engine" light that came on the dash of his car.
