Great points. Even though we had our worst weekend in 10 years I’m jacked for Friday. I think Billy will have them ready.
Thank you. I’m not saying just do nothing I’m saying our best defense will be a good offense and that doesn’t mean 75 yard bombs because that’s not who we are anyway.
pearsal is important for multiple reasons 1) best route runner and one of two best wrs 2) seems sure handed on punt returns 3) is key in running outside of tackles on offense; vandy appriach was same as aggies on run defense- stuff the middle and sacrificing runs outside. We ran Pearsal 3x and AR wide to counter it. Without Pearsal and X, who is next in line? Burke I think and he was out. Bowman? Practice ETN in this role.
Been up there for Florida games in 80s, 90s, 00s, and 10s. Not impressed at all. Nashville used to be a great city back in 80s. If I go up there again, it is simply to see the game. I agree.
Decision looked pretty interesting yesterday with all the drops. I’d disagree with quitting or at least that word. He decided to transfer due to not playing. How is that quitting? You can obviously tell I disagree with the decision not to play him this year. Best hands on the team.
Well, he left the team before the season is over....I certainly consider that quitting. If you want to transfer you do that after the season in my book, otherwise you quit.
Didn’t know completely left team. Based on the little I know about Trent and what I’ve heard from others there must have been some things happen we don’t know about. The entire Gville community loves Trent and that includes curmudgeons like Shane Mathews. And, Coach Whit is respected by all that know him. All I’m saying is Trent must have had a pretty raw deal and definitely some things that you and I don’t know about happened behind closed doors. I can tell you based on some things I’ve seen over the years there are times when a kid must walk and I am like you and do not like ever quitting.
I think in the simplest of terms he thought he should play more, coaches didn't. And heck, he may be right. But pretty much every kid thinks they should play more. I think he might have been a little too clear on his opinion and that didn't help his cause. Regardless....imo you suck it up and finish. He could have helped the team vs vandy without question. But he chose to quit.
If your defense cannot shut down Vanderbilt enough to win with 24 points it is a problem with the defense not AR
In this game, the TOs were the key. Overall, less 3 and outs on offense, more of them for the defense. Not gonna worry until this time next year. AR will improve(he needs another year) and more mature across the board.
And his brother, who decommitted from Napier, is the state 100 meter champ and supposedly more talented than his brother, a star in the making. Both their parents played for UF and now off to play for MSU and SOS Jr. Not good.
