Yeah, I'm sure that one day a team will come along and play fast/great offense and great defense too. That's the thing... we've done both this year just not in the same game, and not all game long. If we can get our USCe defense together with our Tennessee offense in the same game?
Shorter and a bunch of other wr's I've never heard of. 242 yards better than Trask did without his receivers in his last game as a Gator. Also 3 more td's and 2 fewer int's. Just sayin'
No one could run inside. They played us inside out. Not much of anything up the middle. The kid threw for 400 yds. Once Pearsall went out it was a changed game. The team did not play smart: penalties, the give away TD by Marshall on the punt , other special team failures. Played a ton of Frosh and sophs. It’s like they woke up in the 4th quarter. No excuses, have to play and coach better. For those you watching from home, don’t complain too much. This was a road trip game for our group. Spent over $1500 (tkts, gas, hotel, food) and it was pretty cold. But checked Vandy off the list for an away game.
Need Henderson back as well....missing Ricky, X, Burke is a lot. Zipp hasn't played in several games too
Hope you had a good time. I was there in 1982 when Whit Taylor beat us. Friendliest fan base I ever been around.
Agree 100% and that’s what I’m trying to get across… It’s a game of possessions and the more we have and the longer we are on the field the better chance we have of winning as FSU‘s quarterback and offense really worry me especially without Ventrell Some people think that is thinking too much into it but that’s what great coaches do. If we win I really do hope Billy will take the ball
What about taking the ball if we win the toss? Defeatist or smart seeing as we are missing the best player on our defense. i’ll take running the ball effectively and eating clock up while moving down the field over cute sideway passes that get us one or 2 yards at best that put us behind the chains.
I know this from watching them play and watching our team play we are not the type of team that’s going to put 35 or 40 on the board… If we are not very careful with our possessions they could boat race us. Field position will be important and so will be getting to the second half with the score close until we can get 51 back in the game. We need Ricky and X back in the line up. Stop their run and we establish the run and it’s a winnable game.
No clue. Heck, I have a very direct source on one player that he was absolutely returning from injury updated morning of the East Wash game..... he didn't even dress. Injuries are a mystery
I haven't watched them play at all this year. Are they a balanced type offense or are they more run... pass? I'm interested to know, Thanks in advance.
My eyes say solid in both. They have run for over 200 yards in their last five games and Travis is not just a threat running but also throwing. J. Wilson a threat at WR. Pittman does a little of everything. Rb Benson, A transfer from Oregon, is pretty good. On defense we have to block there end Jarrett Verse I honestly think we can beat them if we can and will run the ball. But, that to me is a mindset from top down and are we going to be physical and get after it? I’d like to see AR run the first play of the game. I think having to defend him and knowing he can take it to the house at any time completely changes our running game. Need some guys to heal up.
I see, thanks for the info. I would love for AR to start out fast and put the peddle to the metal and just go off on that team. They're ranked and they might be our bowl game, because you know several players will opt out of whatever bowl game we get slated to play in, especially this year.
