What is interesting is that since he had that 85 yard TD run against USC, he's hardly touched the ball, including in the USC game. I wonder if he is a little dinged up.

Outcoached in at least 4 games. Only way we beat FSU is by Billy having a great day coaching.

I love all of you, even when you’re grumpy. :p

Funny, numbers don’t tell the whole story:
Under 3 yards a carry average against:
    LSU
    Georgia
    Tennessee
    Vandy
So do those numbers really ring true? When they come up against a good team they completely can’t run at all. And Vandy is not a good team.
Let’s see if they can run against FSU.

They took away our run game and forced CBN and AR to win it passing. Another loss.
This is the same thing we should have done. That requires a HC and DC that know how to do it. Nope, we let them run wide every single running play, no changes from our staff. Out coached!

Agree bullish except they only took away part of our run game. The part where 15 keeps the ball and runs his 235 lbs at 4.5 speed around the corner, that part was there if 15 felt like taking it. He didn't though. If Anthony can do all the formations and pre snap motions and everything else he seems to do just fine at, then I have to believe he can make the right read and pull the ball and turn the corner. He just doesn't want to run it sometimes is the only conclusion that makes sense to me.

I don’t know why he didn’t pull it and run a couple of times to keep them honest, that only CBN and Anthony know. Our short passing out wide and sometimes behind the line of scrimmage seemed like high school ball. You can’t move the chains with people stacking the box and pressing cornerbacks so close we couldn’t make it back to the line of scrimmage. This called for quick over the middle crossing patterns and tight ends that can move and catch. Odom was covered one time and Anthony locked on to him and threw it anyway. Lucky it wasn’t picked off. We need some stud tight ends next year and a QB that know if he comes off the field 3 and out, he hasn’t done his job of executing the offense, Great qbs have this gift, hearing he is still learning, well myself I don’t buy it. Kitnas father played in the pros, he could probably run the offense and make the right reads. Oh well we have to wait three or four years of whether or not we will ever have a qb that can execute any offense. We lose to FSU who is rolling now, CBN is going to hear the noise. AD Scott Strickland is going to have to discuss the season and coaching with Billy and draw some lines or we will forever be in a loop like Ground hog day! How many coaches have we had where no changes were made and it didn’t get better. I am too old to wait for “it’s a process” or I am smarter than you, or just completely limited and how to coach a major D1 team “Muschamp”. Scott Strickland should learn from LSU winning the SEC west from hiring an experienced, successful D1 head coach. I don’t know how long CBN will be here, but results do matter! Will his ego keep him as our OC, will his friendship with Toney keep him as our DC and special teams need a complete work over. a lot of work that must be addressed with recruiting being front and centered with us collapsing as the year comes to a close. No Saban or Kirby first year remarks are needed. These coaches made personnel decisions on coaches and recruits. We will see what kind of head coach we have as time goes by. Once a Gator always a Gator!

All the more reason to not use it.

I can accept trying it once early, but that play alone said they were ready for it. Should have been crossed off the sheet right then and there.

What bothers me more is not sticking with what is working and instead repeating what isn't.

What sample size to you need to see a trend?
    12 games?
    25 games?
    36 games?

Maybe it's ego, or maybe it's people's willingness to "let him try it with his own players before we judge." But either way I don't see those changing next season. And if we go 8-4 or 9-3 then it will be another year of wait and see.

Richt persisted a long time at UGA.

Saban had a wee bit more success as an SEC HBC so that comparison is silly.

Kirby had been a very successful SEC DC also, just a bit better than a sun belt HBC who had been fired as the OC at Clemson.

So are you suggesting that Vandy D was so great they stopped all that yesterday?
    Same with UK?
And letting USF boat race us?
