Tre being on the court with KL helps his game. The energizer bunny comes to mind. He gave energy to his teammates, which seemed to flow into the team, especially KL. Tre’s freelancing drives were covered with KL being on the floor. But make no mistake, Tre is a player! Some matchups will be hard on him as we go into the conference season, we will need Riley Kugel to get more comfortable, slow down and make some good drives with his quickness, stick’um defense, he is so quick. And when he is wide open and ready, shoot the threes. I would also like like to see Aberdeen on the court for a few minutes, maybe even Klatsky with the right matchups. I know our schedule is tough and hard to get the right people time to jell, but giving everyone a chance in blowouts of course helps teams come together! CTG seems to have a good handle on the team and I hope the team keeps progressing, because the road we travel is going into some of the top snake pits in college basketball.
Defense always has something to do with the 3-point percentage. During our two NCAAT title runs, I kept reading the whining online by the defeated teams' fans about how they would have won if only they'd shot their usual percentage from 3. Hey. You're not going to shoot your normal percentage against that ballclub.
Kugel is having the standard freshman woes. He'll work through them as the season progresses. By mid-February, he'll be a different player. Until then, patience is required.
