1000% accurate. I couldn’t believe he didn’t pull the ball on several occasions. If he does this the Gators win quite easily because now the defense has to alter their approach which in turn opens up the passing game.

True, but that’s the attitude of a good chunk of players in the NFL. Those that bounce around a lot.

It’s more the attitude with which he runs. You saw the games I’m sure.

I have not seen us run a play out of a 10 personnel as of yet. But maybe I'm mistaken. If we had then maybe Whittemore would have landed that starting roll as the 4th receiver.

I do not want to spend another year training AR. P.E.R.I.O.D.

some of them look at it from a business standpoint, just that first round rookie contract can set him up for life.

Interesting stats, now how many were scramble runs vs designed run opportunities. There in lies the difference. Also, as an aside we come out to start the second half and AR keeps for 7-8 yds then repeats on 2nd down for no gain.

No idea what is swirling around inside of AR’s head BUT i do know this i will take a pedigree of leadership and winning accomplishments over potential any day. This is a choice i dont think BN has had the luxury of this year.

FTR this is the first season AR will have completed on the field since at least the 10th grade. It sure looks like he is operating from a financial decision perspective now that there is almost nothing left from preseason goals to accomplish

I really AR as a person and am thankful he was a Gator! I wish him all the luck and I’d shake his hand if I ever saw him. I think Denny Thompson and his coaches should tell him never to sulk in a game, never. It’s juvenile and makes him look weak. He has a lot to be thankful for - a transitional athlete who is likely to be the best athlete in any game who plays in. Tebow cried after a few games not because he is weak; he wanted to win so badly he hurt him. Maybe AR needs to go back and listen to Tim’s promise speech before a national audience, which he fulfilled. Anthony is a bright kid - he will get it going!!

AR will be taken in the 1st round. However, it won’t be for his play as a QB. Someone has fallen in love with the fact he is 6’4 240 and can run the 40 in 4.4. For every great throw he misses at least 4 throws a game. Maybe he didn’t run because he wants to show the NFL he can throw. That is not his game, I’ve listened to his trainer Denny Thompson say he needs more playing time. 11 games in with no time left he threw the ball out of the back of the end zone. It’s so frustrating

When AR has success running, it seems to really energize both him and the team in a way that passing doesn’t. Doesn’t make sense, but… maybe warrior mentality?

No conspiracy theory, straight fact. Watch NFL Draft shows, stats are parroted versus "abilities" with people debating which outweighs which. The whole pre-show yesterday was all about how AR hasn't thrown an interception and commands the win by directing the run game. He had an interception, and the run game did jack all on the field. Two games left in the season and Napier wanted to get cute with the passing game and it backfired. Rather than amend to our often successful and power run game, he doubled down on forcing throws and we lost.

I actually think Kitna could have matched the point total ( 24 ) against Vandy. I'll sacrifice an impossible throw every now and then for hitting the easy ones.

Napier is the coach and AR is the player...if Napier is in a no win situation he better go back to being a high school coach. No way do you ever let one player dictate the demeanor of your team unless it is positive. Imagine the example youre setting with the other players on the team...collect a bunch of losses to other teams while the rest of the guys are all in on winning because the QB is playing at 50%. Good god I cant think of a more important time for a new coach to show he controls the reigns than this... Letting inmates run the asylum under a new coach is the surest way to be shit canned ever.

give me Kitna. I want a QB that can throw better than run. Knot know if Rashada can do that but Kitna has experience.

AR wasn’t the reason we lost, but was a big part of it. Had he been making correct reads, we likely score at one TD instead of FGs early and 1 TD would have given us a 30-28 lead. He has the tools to overcome our mistakes but wouldn’t put them into play.

I think you’re onto something with the “cursed” thing. We couldn’t do anything right. Great defensive plays negated by personal fouls. The bizarre muffed punt that defied all logic. A totally one-sided game with officiating - they watched one team for errors and turned a blind eye to the other all game long. Absolutely Cirque du Soleil caliber acrobatic plays by Vandy players that they’ll likely never pull off again in their careers. That last interception was insane. The blind flailing one handed arm swing to break up the bomb pass downfield that would have been a certain TD. Just bizarre play for both teams - all spectacular for Vandy and head scratching screwups and always a penalty flag on our dysfunctional team. We could have won it at any time and just couldn’t get out of our own way.

I don’t understand how two teams can seem to be playing in parallel universes in the same game but yeah, this game was cursed.

You said it more succinctly than I just did.

Maybe we needed this to go all out next week against the semis. If we get a win next week I’ve already forgotten this shitshow

People are speculating BN allowed AR and his potential aspirations to run the show/dictate the play calling leaning towards passing. It’s certainly plausible but hardly conclusive. Spurrier and Meyer were exceptional at feeling out the game/opponent during the game and adjusting but they had whiffs to be sure; possibly the UF coaches missed this plan badly. Mullen had the balls to play Emory instead of AR and it was a terrible decision. I highly doubt BN doesn’t have the guts to do WHATEVER he believes will result in a victory, even if we think it’s a bad call.
