Just watched the presser. After reading some your posts I expected CBN to have whitewashed the mistakes and used the the equivalent of "this is fixable."

In contrast, I thought CBN gave a sober, balanced review of the game. He pointed to some issues that needed to be addressed, didn't lay the blame on all the new players on the field and took some responsibility.

I expect he'll give us more detail after he watches film and will reserve judgement on his reaction until then.

I'll be interested to see who has responsibility for the actual plays that were run and if what I saw on the field is what he saw.

Perhaps in this vitriolic, Tik Tok world we've come to expect sensationalism and the blame game but I don't want it from our coach in public.

I only listened to 3 minutes which ended before any questions. I have heard him say their D was stacked in the middle so the reason for wr wideout passes which went nowhere, wasted plays. No outside runs, no AR runs to the outside, no explanation as to why AR remained a drop back qb.
Does he admit to some poor coaching? Why do you run the ball near your own end zone with less than 2 minutes to play on 3rd and 3 with zero timeouts? Why do you not call time out when Vandy was at our end zone before the half?
You MO is discipline yet it was anything but. This team came out on the field flat and uninspired and played that way. Only when really done did they begin to play with urgency.
Coach says good practice and then this. Says each week we've got work to do and then this. The buck stops with him. This is the 11th game of the season and this is the product? This is a way to inspire for the future? This type of football is supposed to fill stands? And if we get beat by our rivals next Friday, won't that be a kick in the pants.

Sometimes you can see the IT factor in players and coaches. TT had it. SOS had it. I could name others. But honestly, I don't see that now. BN I think is a great organizer, and most definitely a character person who no doubt will build character in these players, but play caller and motivator and evaluator of assistant coaches to me is lacking. Time will tell. I just hope he doesn't get an extension until things really get turned around if it happens at all.
