I really like what you have to say-I think he will learn from his mistakes-and clean things up- possibly more roster movement and even staff changes-I know he wants to succeed-I bet he is frustrated too-
I’m not going to say numbers but there are several players out there on defense that have no business starting at Florida. The article by miles is a cheap shot and absolutely wrong. Mullen flat out could not recruit decent defensive players.
Not sure if he drank too much or is just that stupid. Could be the worst post tonight… and that was a pretty low bar.
Threw the ball 42 times today, against Vandy, just don’t get that, at all?? Second most times for the season, only behind 44 at Tenn. Then you throw in the fact that AR only ran the ball 4 times today. Just a very strange offensive game.
I don’t care what color pants they wear as long as we win. However I’m not fond of pink on men. So no pink guys.
It had something to do with falling behind by 2 scores. I think billy had 0 faith in the defense (wonder why????)
Hopefully this is a learning experience and going forward we realize we don’t have enough great players to coast by on talent alone. We must scratch and claw right now for everything we get.
AR is not going to the NFL because he'll go undrafted. 53 players per roster means he'll never make it through training camp. Those days are over - the NFL wants NFL-ready players and not projects unless they are free and AR doesn't look like a guy that will want to play for free.
Without reading the posts on this thread…………Florida didn’t execute in crucial times in the 1st half and penalties on key downs are the overall reason we lost. For those of you calling for Napier to be fired or chest pounding about how bad of a hire he is you’re only looking at it from a fans perspective. I get it. On almost every big play we had, offense or defense, I waited to see how UF could mess it up. A key 3rd down penalty led to a Vanderbilt TD. I believe that happened twice. Our execution in the 1st half was just awful. You can find a coupe of calls in any game that aren’t good calls. That’s normal in almost all circumstances because of human error. But this doesn’t mean we were out-coached or poor coaching. Napier and his staff had UF in really good positions during the game but they committed penalties at really bad times. Johnson’s run called back in the first half. The holding penalty on Burney. The accidental face mask. UF just couldn’t get out of its own way.
This NFL Scouting Report disagrees with you. https://www.draftdive.com/anthony-richardson-scouting-report/
He's been sleeping in all year ? ! ! ! No wonder we stink. Crikey, why are we paying him millions so he can sleep in every day? And with all of the assistants and assistants to the assistants, there isn't one who can give him a wake-up call?
Absolute BS. Pinning this loss on the defense is a complete cop-out. 14 pts were off the punt fumble and the INT, which set up Vandy on the Gators 28 yard line....these are special teams and offensive problems, not defensive. Vandy was held to 283 total yards, 18 first downs, and 7/14 on 3rd downs. That conversion rate is not very good, but UF itself was only 4/15 on conversions (at one point like 1/10). Considering Vandy held the ball for almost 34 minutes, the defense played reasonably well. The biggest issue in this game was the 2.1 yds/carry of Florida, and 45 total rushing yards. 45 yards. Against Vandy.
