His point about the staff Napier brought with him is valid. Coaches that come from lower level programs and bring most of their staff worry me.
Vanderbilt's offense only had 2 legit TD drives (one that was heavily aided by horrible Gator penalties) We gifted them 17 points with bad decisions (coaches and players) -The muffed punt - 7 -AR trying to make an ill-advised pass while blanketed by 4 defenders -7 - Coach Napier deciding to go deep on 4th and 3 on our own 15-yard line with 5 minutes left - 3
Absolutely. I hope he gets 4 years. The “3 year test” is applicable. You will know if most coaches are championship coaches by then. I am disappointed but not out on the guy. He’s shown me a lot. But I’m super worried about the pass game and middle 8… he may go to work and clean that up? Who knows? But if we’re still seeing this on year 2… and the posters on this board are still going “yeah but you gotta give him time to get HIS QB” in here… then I may be beyond frustrated. You can put sub par QB’s in a better position to win than he has so far.
It doesn’t die because it’s the truth .. people just don’t wanna admit it and just blame the coach.. when you are a bad football team consistency is going to be a big problem, hence the dismal performance penalty and execution wise against vandy. Rebuilds suck
