I love this team! And if you don't, maybe you should get off the Napier Train and root for someone else! This team has a lot of heart, and they play for each other! You can see how much they care about each other. We were in a complete battle today, and they fought their hearts out. If not for that final pass sailing long, we would have won the game! If you didn't like how we battled today, I don't know what to tell you. And in case you haven't been paying attention, Vanderbilt is actually a pretty good team! I am proud as ever to be a Florida Gator!
Heart?? we lost to vandy and Kentucky? How we beat utah is the billion dollar question. but heart? Really, we would have won this game with heart Alone. Vandy is not good
No, Vanderbilt is not a "pretty good team". By any stretch. They might be OK by Vandy standards, but shouldn't be on the same field with this Gator team.
They have heart at times. Other times, not so much. No emotion today. They came out flat and stayed that way for most of the game. Coach did not have them properly motivated.
I like positive vibes for the future, I just would not use this game as a sign of "heart". The defensive penalties say I am correct. Vandy is NOT a quality team.
Blaming the team for this loss is wrongheaded. This was almost all about bad game planning, and horrific play calling. Yes players made some boneheaded mistakes but we still should have won this game with the right game plan. That lack of a good game plan was all on the head ball coach.
I dunno I didn’t see any fire out there today. Team looked like it was sleep walking. Maybe the cold really impacted them.
Well they beat a really good Kentucky team last week, and Kentucky beat us, so they must be pretty good.
Oh god I just realized the Vols likely make the playoffs and we are giving our team "heart awards"...I guess we can now steal the Vols Champions of Life trophy since they actually are contenders now.
I know it is hard to find optimism after losing to freaking Vanderbilt, but I tend to agree that we should be optimistic. Over half of the Vandy team was recruited by the current coach. At most one quarter of the Gator team was recruited by Napier. The heart of the Gators—the ones we assume Napier will bring back next year—is strong. Napier will choose which of the career backups recruited by Mullen are worth bringing back next year. I see this game as a final tryout for next year, since the transfer portal opens in two weeks. I do not anticipate Napier playing a bunch of career backups against FSU, since there are recruiting implications there.
