CBN is: Great culture Great organization Great recruiting Awful play caller Awful offensive schemer Awful clock manager
At least when Napier gets fired in a year or two, our next coach will have a more talented roster to work with. I’m ready for AR to move on to the NFL. He has it physically, but not mentally.
Well, this will make it easy for me to stay off the forum this week. In before 20 threads to fire the coach, etc.
Doering’s post game comments are spot on (paraphrasing)…. “Need to coach em up on football IQ” “Inexplicable passes from Richardson at the end, one for two yards in bounds followed by a pass out of the back of the end zone” “Last two games felt like two steps forward. Today feels like five steps back”. Napier’s got his work cut out for him. Very disappointing performance all around today.
Historically, a loss like this one would anger me. But as I've aged, and lowered my expectations, I've become a fan of the game and can even admire the other team for a well-played and well-coached game. It might be helpful for Napier to get some coaching help in the off-season. Bring in a consultant and get some pointers. He shouldn't need it but apparently he does. Our players are not that bad. From what I can tell the coaching has not brought out the best in the players. I don't know.
Will Billy admit he needs an OC? He was out coached and the players were outplayed. Those who think they are NFL ready should watch the film or teams that win regularly.
Perhaps Napier should have tried a 2 minute drill before the half in the last 7 games? Instead he ran the clock out and we are surprised our 2 minute drill was mediocre?
I'm spending the day with my 3 yr. old twin grandkids-they show more maturity than some of the posters on this forum.
