I don't care how much worse the backups are. Make your "star QB" choose between hurting his draft stock by trying to be something he's not, or making your "star QB" hurt his draft stock by riding the pine for a while.

Napier ain’t gonna throw his players under the bus. This one was on AR. You can blame Nape for not putting in Kitna, but that would be a huge division in the locker room and maybe affect recruiting.

What if we just run the ball? We wear them out and then we start busting plays left and right, but our coach wanted instant points and went away from what we are actually good at doing. Vandy is the worst run defense in the SEC and one of the worst in the nation... explain that.
