The “no beer” rule goes back on Qatar’s promise to allow beer. Announced right before the tournament. That is what happens when you deal with liars who live under 10th century rules and attempt to impose the their morals on everyone else. Almost like living in the free state of Florida.
Before that World Cup, I was at a Heat game with my dad. My dad was taking to a guy the entire game. So, afterward, I asked him, “dad, who is your new friend.” He said, “a soccer coach here for a game. i told him that soccer is a stupid game. He said it is a beautiful game and offered to let me watch the game with him and teach me the game. I told him I would watch it on TV.” I asked what team he coached. A: “Brazil.” I told my father that Brazil was the best team in the world, was here to practice for the World Cup and that he had just turned down an offer from the Don Shula of the biggest sport in the world to watch a game he is coaching witg him. I said he should have offered to let me go in his place. True story.
Now, now. Let’s not confuse “hate” with “not giving a [hoot].” I’m sure the World Cup of Duck, Duck, Goose — played by the best DDG athletes on the planet! — is also more exciting to watch than what I played in early grade school. But it would still be a children’s game played by adults.
It isn’t their people. They imported labor under false pretense and then essentially enslaved them. Were you okay with nazis gassing jews?

No one is okay with any of our past. Why in the hell are we still discussing this is the proper question.
You talk about other people being Karen’s and then launch into this hyperbolic victim’s rant with the repeated use of “my” this and “my” that as if you personally own American culture and values? Get over yourself, none of it is “yours”.
Oh, I did. You meant exactly what you said. You think your values are more important than those whose values are different, and resent anyone whose are because they “despise people like you” and might, you know, “kill your family”. You’ve made that quite clear. Enjoy your soccer.
Guess you missed my rant. I said I can enjoy my culture and stand up for people I identify with. I also said you can have yours as well. And both can live together in the same country. But don’t be surprised when I vote for those who may represent my values. It’s human nature. You may ease down off your high horse though.
If my pointing out the hypocrisy of your position is me being on a high horse, then I’m guilty. And frankly I don’t care who you vote for or what your values are. Funny, though, that you post both sides can “live together” after accusing others of trying to “kill your family” because they think differently. Sounds pretty collegial, no. All the while telling me I’m the “angry” one. I’m just repeating your words, man.
