I disagree. I never think our Florida kids deserve venom. We don't do that in Hallgator's NBN. The rest I can agree with.

After playing and coaching and watching games for much longer . . . I try to remind everyone that for a fighting team like Florida has, and especially a well-coached fighting team, a game is almost never over in the first half. So many Gators fans gave up and I'm glad Coach Golden and the kids didn't.

 

I draw a distinction between overtly insulting kids, and critiquing a basketball performance. The first half was well deserving of some harsh critique.

 

i generally agree… and predicted, at halftime, a win.
That said… a deficit like that is likely insurmountable against a quality opponent.

 

The hot-take reactions, unfortunately, are a part of the fandom of today’s sports environment. I was just as frustrated as everyone who posted the nutty, emotional, in the moment moment reactions. I also know that no matter how good the summer workout reports are, nothing matters until game time.

Our guys are still figuring out who they are and what they are. Sadly for them, they’ll be doing OJT with everyone watching.

We’re 4 games in, and I still don’t have a clue about who or what we are ( offense or defense), except, the three-ball will not be a thing we can count on.

Go Gators, keep learning, keep growing.

 

Thrilled at the comeback from 19 points down, that was impressive.
Now….that pesky “ scoring drought” carry-over from last year…..frighteningly redundant.

Hope the Coaching staff is in the lab, figuring out some type of “ remedy” for it. That was painful to watch last year and I’d hoped it stayed in last season.

The answer isn’t , shoot more threes.

 

These guys are getting paid. If they don't like criticism, then we need to see some effort. I will never criticize someone who is busting their ass no matter how many mistakes they make. I may criticize their skills, but I will always appreciate a good effort.
