I love to ski on it, but I would NOT like to live in it.

I thought Bills fans were into that - makes them feel extra zesty when they show up in nothing but boots, gloves, a bomber hat, and a speedo.

Meh, I went to school every day in this stuff. Three miles, uphill, both ways.

You folks are too damn soft!

For some bizarre reason the new place they want to rip the tax payers off for, won't have a roof.

Lived through that for 17 years in Rochester. Went to many a Bills game in longjohns. Glad to be in Florida.

Barefoot, with only some hardtack biscuit to gnaw on.

How could it be uphill both ways? Got lost?

I'm not so sure about that. This volume of snow would take extraordinary time & resources to move. You're talking about 50" of snow, which is more than half the annual total we get where I live in northern MN on Lake Superior. We get our fair share of lake effect snow, but keep in mind that a typical blizzard might drop 10" - 20". That kind of volume will cause school & business closures. Again, this is 50 freakin' inches of snow. This weather event is essentially a snowicane and will cause massive disruption and several deaths.

I am almost 71 and have seen this type of snow once in my lifetime- and that was more than enough

No, you really wouldn't. Lake effect snow is the heaviest sludge you can imagine.

    Like skiing on mashed potatoes.

And that is what makes it so disastrous. You can't hardly plow it.
