Agreed. Interesting match and UK did not appear invincible by any means. "UK sweeps UGa" is 100% accurate but doesn't really indicate how close things were for the most part. Gonna be a great weekend to end the home schedule. We got this!

6'6", 6'4", and 6'3" with all three being very talented. Mary Wise knows what she wants to compete for the top of women's college volleyball and she is getting it. Welcome ladies and great job Mary Wise and staff. The future looks bright.
So volleyball has "first / second rounds" December 1-3 and then "regionals" December 8-10. I'm a softball transplant -- is this basically equivalent to "regionals" and "super regionals?" More important, for travel planning purposes, we are virtually assured of hosting Dec 1-3, right? Not to count chickens before they hatch, but assuming we win, what are the chances for hosting Dec 8-10 at the O'Dome?
top 16 host the first two rounds, top four host the next 2. Final four is neutral. If we win even one of two against UK I would think were pretty well locked in to hosting the first weekend. But chances of the second weekend are basically zero.

Girls VB much more competitive than football team. They sweep KY today and currently lead SEC. Congratulations ladies.
3-0, Baby! UF needs to complete the sweep over UK today. UF is going on the road to Ole Miss and UK is going home to play South Carolina. It would be nice to know the Gators win the SEC outright even with a split on the road. Alexis Stucky totally out played UK's setter Emma Gromes. Gromes was the National Freshman of the Year in 2021 and is thought to be the best setter in the nation. Stucky outperformed Gromes in assists, kills, and digs. It wasn't even close. If there is anyone in the nation better at setter than Stucky in any class, I want to see her. Gromes wasn't in the same class as Stucky on Saturday.
Yep pretty disappointing. Hopefully they can regroup and at least win a share of the title at Ole Miss. We certainly didn't perform like SEC Champions today.
I’m sure we looked much better in yesterday’s match but Kentucky is just abusing us today. Stucky looks like our only outstanding player. Kentucky seemed to have more talent up and down their lineup to my untrained eye.
it is hard for good teams to beat good teams on back to back days. you would have said the same thing in favor of uf yesterday. btw, it is back to traditional scheduling in 23.
One of the announcers made the comment earlier that it was difficult with the current scheduling format of double headers to face the same team in back to back days. This was a great example. Kentucky’s star player said they regrouped in the locker room after Florida swept them and decided they wouldn’t let it happen again.

I may just do that. Looks like you and I were posting about the disadvantages to the back to back scheduling at exactly the same time. How bout that! I agree, looking forward to going back to the traditional schedule.
