Latest Politico poll: Trump 47%, DeSantis 33%

    https://assets.morningconsult.com/w...11089_topline_POLITICO_RVs_v2_11-15-22_SH.pdf

Obviously, DeSantis is gaining like a steaming locomotive on Trump. This poll of course taken before the special counsel was announced. Forget Trump. The Biden administration is going to make sure he loses. Give it about 3 or 4 months, DeSantis will be in the lead.

Now, let's talk about the inevitable. Which is DeSantis v. Biden in 2024. Sounds like the Main Event to Wrestlemania VI, doesn't it??

Let's begin with DeSantis won't have to campaign a lick in Florida, because he even has Miami-Dade on lock these days. So Governor DeSantis will be able to prioritize his campaign in key swing states like AZ, NV, MI and PA.

Governor DeSantis will be 46 years old in November 2024.

Joe Biden? Wait for it, wait for it..... 81 years old.

Economy will be in a nasty recession and Hunter investigation.

    I have it like this:

    DeSantis 53%
    Biden 46%

DeSantis wins 338 electoral votes, pulling off upsets in Oregon and Minnesota.

you should know better than starting a thread on a board that is about 80% democrat/liberal and expecting anything other than pro-inept joe responses.

I think if it’s DeSantis Biden is less likely to run in the end.

I mean, Joe is going to have to figure that out before the GOP picks a nominee. The Democratic primary takes place at the same time as the Republican one lol.

Republican primaries are winner take all unless they’ve changed it. We will know pretty early in their process likely whether trump has a chance.

I think the special council is a big deal this time around. I think there's a decent chance Trump won't even make it to Iowa.

So its Super Tuesday, DeSantis looks unbeatable and Joe decides not to run in March, creating chaos? Not going to happen lol. He's going to have to decide well before the primaries start, because no one is going to challenge him otherwise. The only way he drops off the ticket in March 2024 is if he dies, which isnt impossible.

I’m saying Biden viewed himself as the only guy who could beat Trump las time around, and Trump is a large part of why he would run. And he is more vulnerable to DeSantis than Trump, so as an 80 something dude at that point I am not sure he would be up for a fight that would likely be a tossup. But it’s not like the Republican brand is wonderful right now, DeSantis is going to have to placate the right wing Trump crazies to win the nomination at some points so if he becomes Trump lite Biden will run.

The only way I see democrats not winning in 2024 is if Trump does not run. How do you think Trump would handle losing to Desantis? What will be do? Concede and endorse Desantis? Will never happen. He will 1000% torpedo the GOP on his way down.

If Trump doesn’t run then yes I think Desantis would defeat Biden pretty easily (assuming Biden runs).

Biden will not be running in the general election, I don't care what the experts were saying at the Oz victory party.

Im saying it will be clear well before that. If DeSantis has a significant national polling lead going into their primary season it’s a rough road for Trump. He can’t split delegates early in a crowded field and win late.

I don't think DeSantis will have to placate. Trump's lead over DeSantis is already in free fall. All DeSantis has to do is stay quiet on Trump, announce his campaign and DeSantis will be the front-runner.

The GOP are already positioning themselves to survive a Trump attack. The special counsel seals the deal. This is the 4th major action against Trump (previous special counsel, plus two impeachments). Trump will not make it to Iowa.
