Okay, this makes sense. Thanks for that info. At least he wants to be coached up, even if it is at a rival school.
I don’t know about this. Of the top 7 on their o line, all but one came from the portal or Taggert recruits. I know it’s still early for. O line to develop but still yet impressed with that o line.
have you seen the list of teams - so far- that have offered him as a transfer? So far not any power 5 teams (unless FSU offered). He also grew up in his youth within a short drive of Tallahassee. There is likely more to his fsu interest than sticking it to Uf.
How Lincoln Riley's success rebuilding USC through transfer portal offers peek at college football's future
Let’s see what they do this weekend. Kinda of a cupcake schedule so far. Last year was the first time really that I can remember two high profile coaches leaving their Tier 1 P5 jobs for other Tier 1 P5 Jobs. And with the normal attrition during coaching changes along with their high profile previous jobs, both coaches were able to land a large class of really good transfers. Riley had the added bonus of bringing in his QB1 and WR1 from OU as well.
And still can’t get through the pac12 unscathed. Seems like more of the same from him, win a lot but not get over the hump.
Miami? I think they'll get some talented kids and upgrade in that area, but don't believe he's a good enough coach to make them a threat on the national scene.
Former Alabama running back Trey Sanders has entered the NCAA transfer portal, 247Sports' Chris Hummer reports. According to the report, Sanders will be a graduate transfer. He leaves the Crimson Tide with 528 yards rushing and three touchdowns for his career. Sanders was a 5-star recruit in the 2019 class out of Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy. Sanders' opportunities have dwindled this season with Alabama securing a commitment from former Georgia Tech running back Jahmyr Gibbs last offseason. After running for 314 yards and two touchdowns on 72 carries last fall, Sanders has received just 14 carries for 80 yards and one score this season. . "As a freshman, I do play on winning the Heisman, nothing less. If I come short, I will be a finalist." -Trey Sanders Things don’t always work out, but kudos to him for sticking it out after the injury and getting his degree.
Can't tell me Bama hasn't been "enticing" recruits to come to rosters already stacked 3 deep at every position. Georgia too. I get sometimes things just don't work out and competition can make you stronger but these sustained levels of recruiting had never been seen before Saban and company changed the game.
