The Covid thread was destroyed because of disinformation trolls, and then people who fecklessly responded to them over and over again overwhelming the thread. I finally put them all on ignore. I’d suggest you do the same. Continually engaging diminishes the posting experience for everybody else.

Agreed. The worst are the long, drawn out replies that you just know make him hard as a rock. He’s definitely a Russian agent. It’s not like we’re magically going to change his mind.

another article, only 190 miles from Moscow. Didn't realize that Moscow was that close to the Ukranian border. Unfortunatley the fire wa sput out before it impacted more than just the one tank

Ukraine 'blows up Russian oil depot in drone strike' near Moscow (msn.com)

Images show a suspected Ukrainian military drone attack on a Russian oil depot just 190 miles from Moscow. The 4am attack 'blew up an oil depot in the settlement of Stalnoi Kon,' said regional governor Andrey Klychkov. Unverified images on social media showed what appeared to be a single rupture on the side of an oil storage tank, blackened by soot.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if there wasn’t some internal Russian sabotage starting to happen. Lots of different possible motivations for it.

Russia is getting an ass-kicking from Ukraine, not the US or NATO... let that sink in. LOL

The Russian response to contact in that video is staggeringly amateurish. If their whole army fights to that standard, it is not unrealistic at all that Ukraine could recapture all lost ground, including Crimea.

Ukraine finds Kherson torture dungeon after 63 victims' bodies found

The torture chamber is the latest of several that have been uncovered in the city, abandoned by Russia as they faced defeat at the hands of Ukraine's advancing army.
Horrifying testimony has started to emerge from victims of Russian torture while investigators have in recent days uncovered 63 mutilated bodies of Ukrainians.
City residents today likened conditions under the occupation of Putin's troops to 'a horror movie'.

I understand you can't believe everything you hear or read during war times, but even if only half of it is true, it is absolutely terrible.

Putin staged a "March on Washington" in downtown Moscow, complete with posters and allegedly angry people demanding nuclear weapons be used to destroy Washington, D.C. So at least Putin learned his lesson that he is not supposed to suggest that nuclear weapons be used. Observers found several indicators that the protest was not spontaneous and was likely orchestrated from the Kremlin. All the posters had the same handwriting, there were no police monitoring the protest, and only 50 people showed up, marching in formation.

Russian spies are now defecting and telling their stories, apparently offended by Russia's aggression in Ukraine (or concerned about Russia's ability to continue funding the spy program).

Exclusive: Ex-Russian spy flees to the NATO country that captured him, delivering another embarrassing blow to Moscow

Russia's economy is officially in recession, with its second straight quarter with negative growth of GDP.

Russia's economy has finally fallen into recession, 8 months after it invaded Ukraine

I remember Saddam used to do the same thing during the buildup to the Gulf War: hire crowds to protest the U.S. in front of our embassy … but only while cameras were present. I’ll bet Putin’s stab at this is equally effective.
