Personally, I cannot really see any political value of Hunter invoking the Fifth Amendment multiple times. It would seem that Republicans wouldn't even be able to capitalize on it politically considering that their Orange God has done so many times after previously suggesting that only the guilty invoke their right against self-incrimination. Even conceding that he has engaged in questionable activity and may have actually committed crimes there is absolutely no evidence that Hunter Biden has ever had any influence on actual governmental policy which presumably would be the reason to conduct an investigation and hold hearings.
Still waiting for maga rallies with show trials of all their favorite villains, hanging them in effigy to the delight of the adoring maga masses. Think of the ratings!
like it has been for the last 6 years? We've just gone through 6 years of investigations, special councils and impeachments - why stop now? What's another 2 years?
I don’t know if it has been a full 6 years, but why was there a need to do these investigations and impeachments?
It disappoints me that the place I grew up in is turning into such an anti-freedom, hateful craphole. But I'll stay and fight for now. May decide to leave again in the future if things don't change for the better. I don't want to live in South Alabama. But I have that luxury.
Nah. No interest in either place. Would probably move to Colorado, Washington state, or North Carolina (if it becomes less MAGA). The ignorant and malicious seem intent on ruining in Florida.
Funny have 2 people can see the same place so differently. Thank God Desantis won or we would look like a Blue state shithole with Gillum.
You probally wouldn’t like it North Carolina they are voting Red lately now the other 2 you would fit right in. Then again Boebert is still leading you might be represented by her. That would be funny.!
Yeah, it would be a shame if Florida ended up with a more educated populace, higher paying jobs, more freedom, and less crime.
Instead the state is channeling the politics of bottom dwelling states like Alabama/Mississippi. Good luck with that long term. luckily Florida still has better weather and beaches.
They keep pushing these policies, and it'll result in young, educated people leaving for greener pastures.
Growing up in Florida and living in Arizona most of my adult life, living 3 years in Seattle was tough. Wonderful city, but not seeing the sun for months on end got to me. Colorado is beautiful, but I'm allergic to aspen and pine, and struggle breathing in the state. Thankfully, Arizona didn't vote for Crazy Lake, so I don't have to think about moving. As for the House, going to be tough for the Rs. The far right led by the Gym Jordan and Andy Biggs types are going to want to flex their power. But with a D POTUS and D Senate, there isn't much, if any legislation the far right can pass. But likely enough moderate Rs in the House to get some D bills through. This leaves the House to investigate Hunter Biden and try and retaliate for Trump. I don't see this as a winning proposition for the Rs. America wants to move forward, and are tired of the one-upmamship of partisan politics. And unless the Rs find a smoking gun in Hunter's laptop, any investigation will likely blow up in the Rs face, especially with independents and moderates. The R House leadership would do well to keep the MGT types in check. But they won't. Especially with Trump already on the campaign trail.
Yep, there will a lot of chest beating and yelling, but at then end of the day they lack the votes in both chambers to ram much through, much less override any vetoes by Biden.
