I love AR, but unless the Bucs have found something very negative on Trask there is no way in hell I go with AR with a high pick.

AR needs to come back. He is way too inconsistent throwing the ball. The NFL is a QB league and throwing the ball is more important than his athleticism as almost EVERY player on defense is the better than anything he has seen in college and just as athletic.

after the failed winston years, they probably want to stick with more of a NFL prototype

Trask seemed a far more complete QB than Richrdson when at UF. It is hard to believe the Buccaneers would want to have a 'project' QB.

What's an NFL prototype QB to you? If it's a pocket passer, well, that's what Winston is.

I agree. The mentor/student approach they have now is a good plan and Trask isn't ready to take over the former role yet. Can't imagine Brady has much left.

Brady plays 1 more year. He won't be happy with how this year has gone. This would be a perfect scenario for Trask. 3 yrs under Brady and start his 4th yr. Bucs will have to pick up his 5th yr option or move on. If they move on, Trask will be a free agent and probably will get picked up on the cheap and be in the league for a few more years.

If Brady stays, there is no way he will allow them to draft another QB. He will be asking for protection and weapons.

The Bucs have Gabbert, Trask and Griffin as backups all on inexpensive contracts. All in, 6 million.
They have been trying to convince Griffin to become a coaching assistant but he wants to play a few more years(pad the pension).

Hell NO!!!!! Trask is the future in TB and AR deserves his shot elsewhere. Would be great to see 2 Gator QBs starting in the league. Do not believe that has ever happened.

He wouldn't be replaced for long when AR either gets hurt on the 1st play or it's a pick 6 on his 1st throw.

Yea, NFL prototype is now those air raid 6 ft nothing accurate passers with mobility. We used to call it cheesin’ in Madden.

Maybe Mahomes is overvalued over a Stafford, but it’s cool to see that there are more than one way to skin a cat.
