I think we should expect both layups & 3Pt shots to be worth more than one point per shot, maybe 60% for layups & 40% from three to give an EV of 1.2 points for either of those shots as the goal. Will Richard is the only player > 1 for both shots. You don't notice how good he is until you start looking at the numbers. 47% of our shots are layups, 24% jumpers & 29% 3Pt. Need to reduce the number of 2PT jumpers, shift those to 3PT & obviously increase the 3PT% along with that.
Thanks for bringing these stats to the board. I enjoy reading about it. We used to have a poster named GatorJason, who presented player value scoring after each game. Some folks were unnecessarily critical and Jason left. I, for one, enjoy this kind of info.
