Happy for him. I always liked him.

I hope they stopped the "fancy like" on every broadcast.

Great job Tyree and congrats. Side note: Utah Valley taking Wake to the buzzer, FL loses to FAU, FSU is 0-3, and Louisville keeps losing 1pt games. Are we in a new era of parity in college hoops?

I don't think it's so much of a thing of parity. There are always upsets, particularly early in the year. And there are upsets in the NCAAT. But the parity theory loses steam when you look at the P5 vs. All the Rest in the NCAAT. There are roughly the same number of P5 teams participating in the Tourney as there are non-P5 schools. Yet the Final Four is usually all P5 teams, with an occasional midmajor sneaking in. If there were truly parity, we would routinely see two of the Final Four from the non-P5. But we just don't.
FAU is obviously a good team, by the way. Like I said before the game, they lost to Miami by just 2 points last season. And Miami went deep in the tournament.
Still, it's not a game we should have lost.

That was clutch. Glad to see him hit it and make Sport Center.

In most systems kid is a player. Why I still consider his transfer a big loss. Could have helped take some of the scoring load off CC.

i generally agree, but I suspect Tyree wouldn’t be considered an “analytics” pg…. meaning his high-risk, high-reward style probably not a great fit.

I'll reserve judgement on Tyree as the Gator PG for the moment and leave it at "nice shot!"
