They have 217 confirmed seats with 12 left to count. This will be great for the Dems in 2024 as their crazy will be laid out for all the country to see.
I feel that a split congress in general is better for the average American as it hopefully checks both parties extreme craziness.
The circus will be coming to town in January. Somewhat ironic that rather than moderating the new House majority, the narrow margin in the election will give the crazies disproportionate influence. In order to win the speakership Kevin McCarthy will have to placate clowns like Marjory Taylor Greene, Jim Jordan and Paul Gosar. During the next two years we can expect investigations of Hunter Biden, the DOJ and the FBI along with the very real possibility of an attempt to impeach Joe Biden. It will not go well for Republicans come 2024.
This will be good for the country. Unfortunately Trump decided to run again. That is what will hurt the pubs in 24…
I have been wrong about this for the last 6 years but I am bound to be right eventually. I don’t think trump is going to really run. I think he is going to grift off his rubes for awhile and maybe stay unindicted federally for the multiple felonies he committed as president when he tried to overthrow the government.
He announced he is running but I think he is going to fundraise until primary season and then come up with an excuse not to run.
A split Congress leads to gridlock and nothing but performative politics. In an ideal world, we'd dump the filibuster and actually force the parties to legislate.
Hasn't the Gerrymander gone on forever by both parties? A million and a half votes is a substantial gerrymander or maybe Crist was a terrible candidate.
Of all of the gerrymander lawsuits, NY and NC were required to redraw their lines. AL, TN, GA nd FL were allowed to keep their lines pending legal proceedings
There is a constitutional limit to gerrymandering which refers to districts. The lawsuits involve state exceeding their limit. No idea why you're talking about a popular vote unless you are in favor of using the popular vote to judge elections
No it's not. The NY gerrymander was excessive and came back to bite them as it should have. Now tell me which red state you agree has an excessive gerrymander
