don't agree we had better talent across the board, certainly at C but their guards as a group were better than ours, at least last night. We struggled with a guard heavy team, that shot out of their minds from 3.

I'll take a Coach Golden tough 3rd game loss to FAU over a Coach White early 7th year blowout loss to Texas Southern any time.

Personally, I like Golden and I know he is a winner. We will lose more games this year but we will improve steadily. It’s not like we were going undefeated. Golden was a great hire.

FAU was a bad mismatch for UF . Last night they were the better team. I’m not so sure we had a talent advantage like you thought.

 

No you certainly are not going to be banned for giving your opinion. But this loss is not the end . If we can beat State things will be better. Some nites just don’t go you’re way. You got the boys riled up a bit . Ease up a bit

 

As long as it doesn’t cost an NCAA tournament birth. A loss like this for a team that could be a bubble team could get definitely contribute to them not getting in

Many replies here are from sunshine pampers that would be having an absolute fit if CMW were here. The funny thing is that that he would have never allowed sloppy, out of control players take such bad shots and still get so much playtime or the FAU guards to play Horse outside the three point line. All of us need to hope this game was and anomaly and Golden takes steps to fix the problems.

 

I was one of the few Mike White supporters, but that’s me . I like people who carry themselves with class . Like Bill Napier . Donovan , Pat McMahon in baseball

 

FAU may be one of those awesome teams this year . Well coached and got ballers. So this loss may not be terrible

 

Apples to Oranges. Golden is in his first year. Very few had fits about White until he got into the latter years of his tenure.

Perhaps allowing players to stay on the court and work through their sloppy, out of control play this early in the year will help them more in the long run than White's quick hook. Especially with freshmen, White gave them too short of a leash, in my opinion. He barely played extremely talented youngsters like Tre Mann as a freshman and yanked them after nearly every mistake. Hopefully Golden will let the young guys get some minutes to help them adjust to the speed of the college game before the meat of our schedule arrives.
