The extra practices seem more important than the game itself.

 

I said 7-5 back in January and I still say 7-5. We can beat FSU but the defense would have to play outstanding. The last two weeks we have played putrid offenses. FSU has an excellent offense. We will have to put up 40 points in tally to beat them.

So you think practicing doesn’t help? It may not be a panacea but practicing with the 60 or so guys who will be back next year has to be a good thing.

 

I think it depends.
The extra practices say for the 97 Citrus Bowl under Spurrier probably didn't help.
But for this team, with its lack of fundamentals, and with a first year coach, it would probably help a little bit.

 

I'd rather see them get the extra practice than not. Obviously we do not yet know where the bowl will be or who the opponent will be. Either way I hope we don't mail it in like we did versus Oklahoma.

 

Absolutely! This staff will use those days in many ways we will never know about.

 

NIL sponsors ought to put participation in Bowl Games as a requirement unless injured.

 

• extra practice and extra contact time with the staff/coaches
• Live game reps
• bigger SEC payout

 

Beating SWAC is critical.
