You don’t think this is a major upset? The difference between Tennessee and us is they may not need big wins later in the year to get in and we probably will. Based on the defense or lack of defense I am seeing we’re going to have a struggle with quite a few teams that have much more talent than FAU.

Same ole same ole …why did this coach not try to stop their momentum with a TO? Letting them go on a big run didn’t make sense

 

I knew this was gonna be a tough game, but figured we would separate late in the game. We had a chance. I thought Todd took way too long calling a timeout, allowing fau to sprint back into the game. And if we are going to defend by fighting their screens, rather than switching…. Ya gotta get thru the screens. You can not slip under screens against a team bombing from the arc. Just a really poor scout, imo.

 

Yeah I mean the defense stinks right now. But it all seems coachable to me or can be solved with more effort. This loss not totally surprising though and to me doesn’t really make me think of Mike White. We look like transfer U and chemistry is hard to come by right now. Need to gel in a hurry though.

 

Well that was a kick in the nuts. We don't seem to have anyone but CC who can play defense.
Not playing defense just burns my ass. I can't stand a soft team.

 

FAU’s use of screens was very impressive, and has me wondering why we don’t use them?

I also didn’t like they way Golden let the team play through FAU’s runs without calling timeouts to slow it down.

I’m going to choose to believe we needed this game to get better. Need to put more effort on defense, and find ways to get other guys to contribute on offense.

Reeves and Richard’s need to be a bit more aggressive. Fudge should start if Felder is going to be invisible.

 

I mean they were unconscious from 3..sometimes you just have to say congratulations and go and learn how to get better

The point is the defense is really struggling the last 2 games. Kennesaw and FAU should not score in the high 70’s against us.
