Welcome to the board! Another Minnesotan here. I hope you have made it up to the north shore of Lake Superior. The parks, hiking, waterfalls, and lake views are terrific. This is our pup at the lake walk here in town.
Welcome to the madness. We have some very opinionated posters on this site so try not to be thin-skinned. There usually is no malice intended. We’re just a bunch of college football junkies with a great passion for our Gators. The sparks fly sometimes but we all love the Orange and Blue. The wife and I lived in Jersey for almost 30 years so I understand the culture shock, being born and raised in the south then moving to the north. It sucks. Hang in there, it gets easier. My Dad was born and raised in Jacksonville and graduated from UF in 1958. He’s 91 now and still loves the Gators. I try and spend as much time with him as I can.
I don't understand the need to mock the places that others call home. If it's not your cup of tea, fine. Keep your trap shut. I'm talking to you, hoyt, and others. I could share some choice words about the places you live, but don't feel the need.
Welcome! Spent a week in Dent, Minnesota fishing about 10 yrs ago. Interesting state with such different terrain from area to area. Some real backwoods. Swamps were unexpected and numerous. Gotta like a Swamp.
Good place to see some of those ridiculously long Great Lakes freighters, Duluth. Always remind me of the Edmond Fitzgerald song.
Hell. different strokes for different folks. My cousin spent 25 years in Alaska by choice, not me, no way no how. My girl wants to go to Montana, it’ll be in the summer.
