I ain't staying away from ellipsis... Deal with it. You're the one judging me here. Now if you really DON'T want some dialogue then I suggest you quote what I said and tell me why you felt the need to insult me for what I said. However, if you do want to discuss a post or one of my opinions then feel free to start a respectful dialogue. I will respond to diplomacy.
Okay, I truly get the sense of how big Dez now, when Miller walked up to him waiting for the video review of the fumble. Miller is NOT small at all, but Dez makes him look like a Hobbit.
Rick, So proud of Dez, I'm sure he grew tired of most narratives around him emphasized weight and stamina. Irregardless of position, his steal / fumble recovery was an outstanding play. Got me fired up!!! Watson can make some plays!
Yeah, I was NOT one of those people that threw shade on that young man. I read that he moved well and that the coaches liked him, and for that reason alone I liked him too. And that we even before I saw him play. He's also getting better as the year progresses. And I even like the way he's playing now, but he could get healthier and trim down to a more mobile and respectable 400 pounds. Lol.
I hope Mr. Watson doesn’t mind when I express his praises in my living room or in The Swamp by saying things like, “Big ‘Un got him one!”, which is what I hollered yesterday when he yanked the ball away from SCe and started rumbling towards the end zone. If Mr. Watson is displeased, I beg forgiveness.
We have played a bit of a different D since the second half of the TAAM game. I think that has more to do with it than one player being gone.
Are you forgetting the first half vs TAAM? They scored 24 points in the half. That was the team avg for the year. Yesterday Aub held them to 10. Defensive played more press the last 6 quarters. That’s been the difference.
Team certainly looks much better last two weeks. But context is everything TAAM and USCe are hardly great teams. Not even good teams in reality. Vandy should be a rolling but FSU will truly be the test to see where we are. Not taking anything away with how the team played the last 6 quarters. Just consider who we played the last two weeks.
we lose to #1, #5, #10 and a tough Kentucky team but we're in the same neighborhood as these 5-loss teams and below a bunch of 4-loss team in rankings? We're not getting nearly enough credit for our SoS and recent beatdown of a 6-3 SEC team 2022 College Football Power Index | ESPN Texas certainly getting their respect
I know the coaches haven't spent much time teaching Des the DT how to run the ball, but someone should just tell him to hold on to the ball with two hands, put his head down, and run straight at the QB, not to run to the side and put a move on the QB. If Rattler doesn't move aside and wants to get run over, then pancake him. It would be like a Bugs Bunny cartoon.
Just a detail, but I loved it. Des switched that ball from one arm to the other, away from the tackler. Didn’t work out, but he switched that thing fast and natural like. It was impressive.
Press and brought pressure. Both are key. Stop run against FSU and we win. That and not allow J. Wilson to catch the ball in space which shouldn’t occur if we are continuing to play more aggressive scheme wise.
