I understand early a lot of the issues were at the QB spot and growing into the position. But how the sudden change in defense? They are flying to the ball and putting pressure on the QB. Is it buying into the system? We HAVE to beat Florisa State!!!

Defense 1) playing more man 2) more 4 down linemen and blitz 3) old and new players buying into/learning the system 4) addtion by subtraction (Cox coincidentally) Offense 1) AR is healthy 2) rb rotation set 3) Kitna progressing And as stated before am and cocks aren't real good.
Along with the points that have already been made, the dismissal of Cox seems to have played a huge part in turning the page on the DM era. It was definitely a signal to the young players that their time has finally come.

Could be he was "stirring the pot" I know how that feels after working with a bunch of drama queens at work-they love to spread and start something-try to divide and cause issues among people.
I’m wondering if this was the case. He clearly wasn’t on the same page as the coaching staff, and as a team leader he had a lot of influence. It’s all speculation but the defense looks like a completely different team without him there. I realize usc and tamu aren’t world beaters, but either is usf and some others we struggled with.
