Trump will “Trump” himself right out of candidacy. When he starts in like this he sounds foolish even when you hear his whole speech in context. It sounds even worse when the opposition slices, dices and reassembles the clip.

What we are seeing here is Trump at 76 and Biden at 80 showing us that they are both far, far too old to be president. Biden’s dementia hurts Trump as much as it embarrasses Biden(or should, if he had a half functioning brain.

Personally, I’m tired of what both “bases” have become. The far right and the far left are both crazy. The middle should be ashamed for sending such awful people and candidates to Washington to “fight for them”.

Name the issue; health care, immigration, fiscal policy, senior citizen safety net. All of these issues are not really hard to either solve or at least greatly improve, yet not one of them has been addressed in any manner to generate the most benefit for the least cost. We have had an out of control border for 50 years. Healthcare costs have been spiraling for 40 years. Deficit spending has been driving up the debt at obscene levels for over 40 years.

Our government has borrowed $100K in the name of each and every person in this country. Since half don’t pay taxes, that’s $200K in the name of every taxpayer. Add in unfunded Liabilities and those numbers double.

We need to either educate the bases and rid them of their foolishness or come up with policies that the 60-70% in the the middle will unite on and shut the kooks up.

We are, and have been for some time now whistling past the graveyard.

I am reminded of the story when Donald Trump requested a meeting when then NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle in the early eighties. Trump was then the owner of the NJ Generals of the USFL and Hershel Walker his star player.

Trump told Rozelle that in exchange for an NFL franchise, he would sabotage the USFL league to eliminate any NFL competition. While some would tell you he did that anyway, Rozelle had no interest in the deal.

In fact, Rozelle pointed out that someone willing to compromise the owners of the league he was a part of for personal gain would be likely to do the same with a different set of owners. Rozelle dismissed Trump from his office and vowed that he would never be an NFL owner.

Fast forward to the current Republican Party where now Donald Trump possesses the power to crush the party with a simple fact... the loyalty of my followers will divide this vote and no Republican will win.

He will run. He would like people to continue to send him all kinds of money ( his refurbished jet does look good). He loves people showing up to rallies to tell him how great he is. He loves a spotlight.

    He demands loyalty.

Is Donald Trump someone who be loyal? Will he just collect money from his base because he can? Will he just screw the Republican Party out of spite?

Everything in his history says his actions will be only for the interests of Donald Trump.

This is actually what most have been screaming for.

I don't want to be forced to decide between Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders.

Please figure out a way during primary season that a moderate can have a voice and win. The country would be much better off even if it means a legitimate third party.

I mean, yes he needs to leave, yes he's become a liability for Republicans, but don't you at least want to see who he's running against assuming he even gets that far?

That is what I was hoping that a Kasich candidacy would bring. Unfortunately, he thought he was either entitled to it or was too lazy to go and fight for it.

Just think he is way past his window. Really liked him back in the day, but he doesn’t resonate with folks anymore. Almost like he is trying to hard. Ymmv

Strange how Trump’s character was not an issue for Bill and Hillary in attending his wedding and accepting large donations to the Clinton Global Initiative. Indeed, more information can change minds, can’t it? Many of these so-called “exploits” were very public knowledge at that time.

And didn’t he quickly bankrupt the USFL? He wanted to get an NFL team and thought he could force a merger. He sued and won what a dollar?

Here is what right wing blinders does to you. You can’t see that Biden is a moderate on most economic issues. You won’t consider him because he has a d next to his name. I also liked the now rino Mitt Romney. He was capable of compromise and was a good governor of Massachusetts.

He seems to be a liability. I just wonder what happens to the 30% of republicans he motivates to the point of being cultish. I don’t think he helps out whoever beats him. Republicans are in a tight spot.
