1) Vandy is going to be jacked up next week. 2) After next week’s game, I wonder if Napier is going to watch Louisiana vs. FSU to evaluate how his old team matches up to FSU vs. how his new team will match up to FSU. The game might help him. 3) The way our team is playing now, I wonder if there are any players Napier was considering letting go, but now they are playing well enough that he won’t let them go. (We’ll never know.) 4) How does Napier tell a player that he doesn’t fit in Napier’s future plans?
I wonder if Napier eats the marshmallows out of his lucky charms first? Do you think he eats chunky or smooth pb?
Ok, let me try to explain it to you. He knows most of the players on Louisiana’s team because he coached there last year. Let’s say he was still their coach. Could he beat FSU if he was still there? I would think he would look at each player on his old team and see how he played against FSU. Then, look at each of his new players and figure if the new player would play better against FSU than the old player.
I’d agree if time was frozen and the old players did it improve over the year, the offense stayed the same, and the defense stayed the same. Otherwise, no value
No value? None? Seriously? So when Billy and his staff go to review tape of FSU and their games this season- you know, as part of their jobs, specifically the part that asks them to win football games- they’re just to ignore FSU’s game against UL? Can Billy extract value from other team’s games against FSU? If yes, why yes? Why can’t Billy do the same from FSU’s game against UL? Please be specific. Thanks.
Why wouldn't he watch it? Why wouldn't he care? He spent time there, turned it around and left because he got a better gig. It isn't like he left because UL soiled his career. Recruited kids, has some good memories, a championship. Plus he'll review film from the FSU game as a part of their preparation. Vandy is on fuego. Need to halt their one game momentum big time. Go Gators
Like everyone else does: Son, we appreciate what you done here. But you might get more playing time at another school. It’s the truth, it’s painful. But it’s necessary for both the player and the team.
If Norvell beats Louisiana, he'll be .500 at FSU, since he ducked Clemson and UF in 2020.. give him an extension..
Good thing running game travels. That will be huge in that weather up there. And if the defense continues to improve, that travels too. I like our chances. “Wes Chandler was Percy Harvin before Percy Harvin was born.”
Reality is going to be a high in the low 50s. If there is sun, shouldn't be a problem. We good Team just needs to be mentally prepared and not take the 'Dores lightly
Read the complete thread. The OP focus was on his old players and how they would perform against FSU.
It’s not really the same LA team though…especially as most of the best players transferred out and have a new qb. Instead of being 9-1 at this point they are 5-5 and instead Of conference champs…they are under .500 in their conference. I would expect our staff to review the game film just like any other game film but maybe have better insight into how players they are familiar with perform vs FSU and may speak to coaches at LA for some additional details and insight.
warmer than it was yesterday. Them beating the kittens will have our attention. Maybe they’ll still be celebrating that win all week.
