Wasserman is pretty much the gold standard on calling races, so him calling for Kelly is a pretty big nail. I think the networks are waiting to see how the first batch of the 290k same day drop offs go before making it official. I would expect a call tonight if that batch is even or favors Kelly. If it favors Masters they may wait another daily or two, but even then it’s a steep climb for him. The Hobbs Lake drama is now where the fun is at.
Although it's generally considered poor etiquette, Trump is so lazy that he drives his golf cart on the green to avoid walking an additional 10 yards or so.
The Nevada Senate race Laxalt (R) and Masto (D) is not one I was following. Looks like Laxalt is up by about 9,000 votes with 90% reporting. Politico reporting that Lindsay Graham has said the only way Masto can win is if there's fraud. I'm not sure if anyone here has analyzed the race and the areas where the remaining votes are.
The Tweet in post #94 ... it's going to be very close, but says if the Democrat leaning trend they saw in the first batch continues for these unopened mail ins, the Democrat makes up the ground and probably wins.
Nevada update today. Clark and Washoe have been breaking around 2-1 for the dem, if that continues, more than enough votes to win.
80k batch tonight in AZ slightly stretched the lead out for Kelly. It was about half mail in and half same day drop off. CNN called the race for a Kelly almost immediately.
By the way, If the dems win NV (likely but not guaranteed). The GA race is actually still important for dems. It means they are not beholden to Manchen anymore if they win that. Of course without the house it’s not AS critical, but still would matter on a number of things.
The GA race is more important because the Democrats would have majorities on committees, which would speed up confirmations.
Indeed it was. I remember that incident. It was at his own club in Bedminster, New Jersey. There was a lengthy thread about it at the time and a Too Hot regular, a right winger - an avid golfer whose avatar is a picture of himself swinging a club - vociferously defended Trump's glaring breech of etiquette, saying it was his own club and he could do what he wanted. He also argued it did not make any difference as Trump did not drive the cart near the cup, conveniently ignoring the fact greenskeepers regularly change the location of the cup on a green to help keep the play fresh and challenging. I'm not a golfer but I'm married to one and respect the game and the rules. We lived on a GGCC fairway for nearly 20 years before moving to Colorado in 2018.
Correction. CCM is now winning Nevada. Kelly already won Arizona. Dems already at 50 in the Senate, with only the GA runoff undecided.
Ralston just called Nevada for CCM. Dems still need to win that GA runoff so they can get majorities on committees.
