Gonna need one or two 5 star studs to move up much more as the teams ahead of UF start to fill up their classes. LSU is the only other program in the top 10 without any 5 star commits. They have a very highly rated group of 4 star kids. Too bad Mizell missed his senior season. He'd have 5 stars next to his name by now. On the upside, his little bro' is thriving as his replacement.

At this point, I'm much less concerned about class rankings than filling needs. Give me another 4 star edge rusher, one more 4 star DT/NT, three LBs, even if they're high 3 star prospects, and two 3 to 4 star OL. I think we'll fill Whittemore's spot from the portal. Ricks or Cormani would be plus-ones.

Not too worried about final rank if we stay in top 10 and like you said, meet our needs. I'm not sure we have a committed DT that will sign on 12/3, but lets say we do. With that, I still hope we see two more true DTs commit, unless we/staff really believe one of our SDEs will hit DT weight by next season. What do you think about that?

And fwiw, that committed DT I was alluding to is Will Norman. See what happens there.

I can see Jordan Hall and John Walker as our only two DTs in the end. Not bad if that's how it shakes out. But James Smith, do we believe he has sincere interest? Bama's class is light on big DL. They need him badly. It is Bama. And, he is from Alabama. What a coup if we did.

Would be nice to be Top 3. Any chance at topping UGA or Bama?

I think since they have figured out this NIL thing...anything is possible. I think there is a number of flips coming from recruits who wanted to come to UF but the deal wasn't enough. That has changed.

Who really knows in the here and now, or exactly where on the DL they are projected to play. But Collins and Norman both insist that they're solid and Norman is reported to have canceled the KY trip this weekend. Collins' has been the recent subject of speculation (thanks rivals), but his recruiting efforts for the '23 lass and social media output are pretty encouraging to this point. On Smith...unfortunately, I'll believe it when I see it.

That is filthy when compared to other leagues. Heck, the rest of the entire country.

Need go do it consistently to have sustained change and success. I think Billy can do it, but might need 3 years to show it on the field. Unless we get lucky in portal, we need to be patient

We apparently ponied up for Rashada without "breaking" the so-called rules, and might be expected to do so again?

@bobbybaker86 or anyone else who can help . . . Why is Florida stuck on #8 on 247 class rankings even after the Rashada flip/commitment? Just more evidence of their bias? Are class rankings determined otherwise? You guys who are much more knowledgeable could help a lot of us who don't completely understand. Thanks!

    1) I thought someone said they jumped Miami from 9 to 8.

    2) I don’t think it’s bias. It’s just math. In fact, they have a calculator where you can add any player you want and it will calculate the resultant team score. Once you are at 20+ commits, the score doesn’t move a great deal for a single player.
