I am not sure why Dems are celebrating. They lost the House and they may lose the Senate. Spin is just that.
Because it was expected to be way worse and many of the Trump endorsed candidates got waxed which signals good change for the future. The country needs traditional conservatives back. I may not agree with their policies, but they’re generally good people who want the best interest for the country.
This was the most successful midterm in decades with significant outside pressure from inflation, war, and incompetent media reporting. Plus Biden’s a good administrator but terrible motivator. Seems like a win to me. Keeping senate is key though.
I always thought that Bob Graham would have made a great president. Unfortunately he was too moderate for the Democratic party and lacked the charisma necessary for a presidential run. Same applies to current Senator and former Governor Mark Warner of Virginia. Possibly the most competent and among the most boring members of the Senate.
You’re missing the bigger picture. I will gladly take traditional conservatism back in this country even if I disagree with their policies because that means the Trump crazies are being weeded out. All his candidates, save a select few, got annihilated in their races, which means people are growing tired of his views and the craziness that support it. I use to go to sleep not caring that our president was a Republican or not because at least they were still wanting the best for our country. You absolutely cannot say the same for Trump and his cronies, so yes, this is a win for everyone.
I too am happy trump's crazies didn't win. Truly mean that. It's actually almost a perfect scenario for me. Reps control both houses(we shall see if this happens) and trump gets sent to pasture(wishful thinking unfortunately). But I do like that his "pull" is withering to zero.
Agree. When he was governor I considered Claude Kirk a conservative. By the standards of today's Republican Party he would be considered a RINO.
A couple of days ago I thought that I was the one who would be taking a 30-day vacation from this board. While it's still not over I would suggest that you begin making plans for the additional free time coming up. Although not impossible the chances are extremely slim that Masters can pull the proverbial rabbit out of the hat in Arizona. As far as Nevada is concerned and by no means a certainty there is very a good chance that Laxalt's 16,000 vote lead will disappear when the remaining 70,000 votes from Clark County (Las Vegas) are counted resulting in Cortez-Masto holding her seat.
You passed on several opportunities to respond to that bet and you decided to ignore 95. He asked if you were still on. I saw you. Suddenly you remembered the wager. What a nerd.
