Just goes to show how much many Americans despise Trump and the MAGA movement as well as almost all of the Trump picked nominees got completely dominated in their races. The majority of Americans can’t stand the guy, yet the losers who support him still think he was somehow cheated out of the 2020 election, lol.
As others have pointed out, the reason the MAGA candidates were on the ballot yesterday is that they won their GOP primaries. Republicans didn't rejectthem, they voted for them. It's Democrats and independents who rejected them. Or at least many of them.

I still think it was a significant factor in South Florida less so statewide. Adding the caveat that I'm not currently a resident of Florida, the Republican domination of the state's congressional delegation is largely attributable to Ron DeSantis extreme gerrymandering which apparently was very effective yesterday. Giving DeSantis credit where credit is due, he was also apparently very effective at combining his response to Covid as both a cultural and economic issue.
He and his old running mate 44 were out there everywhere they could be. That counts more than public statements. It's just the nature of the game and the fact that he was out there in public means he deserves some credit.
Don't presume that a lot of the South Florida Latinos don't like a strong man. I would submit that they are more open to a strong man than the average US voter. They just don't want one from the Left. Strongmen in Latin America are far more from the Right than the Left
