I hate him because he’s one of the most contemptible humans on the planet, and I also consider him to be a criminal and traitor. A betrayer of America’s values.

While he’s pushed some seats blue, I don’t consider that a trade for still having millions in the thrall of an insanity cult, some cultists still won -afterall. A few Republicans that pushed back showed strong, but that was a relatively select few. This is a general election, not a GOP repudiation of Trump. That has yet to happen, let us know when it does.

Thanks Rade, maybe if both parties cut the sanctimonious bull-shit and get back to governance and addressing the needs of the country the parties might gain respect among the electorate.

Trump belongs in one of two places:
The nastiest Prison in the USA or the Chair. He is a traitor, a criminal, a sexual deviant, a liar, a scoundrel, a divider and the biggest narcissit in modern political history to have attained such high office.

The most incredible paradox of Trumpism is that he betrays the very people that support him, at the personal, business and political levels. Those that are unwealthy and the religous in particular, sold their souls to a souless man that lies and cheats those very same people at every turn.

It's astonishing to behold. Political Self Flagellation at it's most demonstrable level.

I agree. A disgusting human being on just about every level and he's brought out the worst in many Americans by making it OK to be disgusting.
And you're right about Republicans not really rejecting him. Look how many of his supporters won their primaries. Or look at the hostile rejection of Liz Cheney - not just by national Republicans but by the ones on Too Hot, too - simply for not supporting Donald Trump in his attempts to overturn the election.

Crist ran the worst campaign I’ve ever seen, and dragged down the entire Blue ticket with him.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I would think a runoff would favor Warnock, as Herschel wouldn't have Kemp (or more likely "not Abrams") at the top of a ticket to boost his numbers in a runoff.

It’s almost as though the libbies knew Florida was all Desantis and decided to spend money elsewhere. A huge win for libbies.

Exactly. I would trade the congressional seats he's pushed to the Democrats for a sane, rational Republican party any day.

Not just counted, but incredibly overconfidently counted. I'm amazed at how cocky many of our right-wingers were. That's why they are in meltdown right now.

Demings spent like $80 million (and outspent Rubio by over $25 million) to lose a race that was called literally two minutes after the polls closed in the Panhandle.

Some of the attempts to rationalize exactly how poorly Dems performed in Florida are pure nonsense.

It is a huge win for the Libbies and the nation as a whole. Your continued support for a moronic lunatic has been instrumental for us. Thank you Orange. We couldn't have done it without your ilk.

I haven't seen a D governor candidate run a good campaign in Florida in at least 20 years

I can only go by what my eyes and ears tell me. Demmings ran her ads next to, and worst, following, Crist’s. Crist’s ads were unwatchable boring, which is astonishing because of the material DeSantis provides (agree or not, there are scores of pointed talking points). Demmings followed Crist’s marketing. She was brought down by Crist.

Probably better use of money than than lady who raised like double that running against Mitch in KY. Which is to say slow roasting it rather than setting it directly on fire.

Damn, I did not realize Val had that kind of backing. I mean she got embarrassed. People in Florida were very proud to reside here during the pandemic. And we voted to show our approval.
