But there was a Dobbs wave and an anti nut job wave. Looks like the GOP will have to go back to hiding their extremism behind normal sounding trojan horses like DeSantis. And oh what a bad night for your Cheetos skinned Dear Leader...
Definitely did not end the way I thought it would. Especially after DeSantis won in epic fashion so early.
Just waking up…. What’s the deal? Looks like if Warnock and wins, and is up 20k with 96% in, the Dems hold the senate? I’m guess like 2020, this favors the Dems since the Dems expanded their lead in the mail ins… I’m guessing the house is still expected ti flip, but by a narrow margin?
This was expected and not surprising at all. When the GOP throws out so many Trump backed extremist candidates and the country has shown they’re beyond tired of that movement, this is the result. The only ones who thought there would be a red wave were those who have shown a history of being wrong on this forum and who have shown to be the most delusional. The only surprise was that JD Vance won Ohio considering Tim Ryan ran a much better campaign and completely eviscerated him in the debate. Do better, Ohio.
Warnock has to get to 50% to avoid a runoff. The House is too close to all. The Dems still have a small chance to keep the House
"They can't let her be governor, because she'll investigate them." Good grief. The bubble some people create for themselves.
And the illegal maps in Bama & Ohio that the dark money SCOTUS said they could use because May was too late to fix them.
The red wave that wasn’t: 5 takeaways from a disappointing night for the GOP Interesting part of this article: All year — and especially in the closing days of the campaign — Democrats cast themselves as a mainstream alternative to the excesses of the GOP. But despite the overturning of Roe v. Wade and the hundreds of election deniers Republicans put on the ballot, voters on Tuesday did not appear to see it that way. In preliminary exit polls, about equal proportions of voters said Democrats and Republicans were “too extreme.” The exits mirrored a poll released just before the election by the center-left group Third Way found voters viewed Republicans and Democrats as similarly far from the center.
Would be ideal IMO. Markets will like the gridlock and the Dems will hold the keys to any USSC replacements for the next 2 years.
The pubs have to sweep all the remaining Senate races to take the Senate since Fetterman won. I believe the House is tied with 4 races still out there.
The districts in Ohio were declared unconstitutional… like 5 times apparently, but the crooks used them anyway. They just kept coming back with bad maps. It was intentional bad faith, not truly “not enough time”. Time only ran out because of bad faith. If the Ohio Supreme Court had balls they would have held the map drawers in contempt and thrown them in jail, but who am I kidding those “judges” are probably republicans so it was all a game.
As a Republican, I'm very happy with the results, thank you. Statewide especially, but nationally as well. We got the sound and solid Republicans elected, and will control the House, and maybe the Senate. But the House controls the money, so I'll take that so we can become fiscally sound again.
Here is the NYT needle…. These were spot on last cycle. Interestingly, still projecting a Dem Sen win in Nevada even though that candidate is currently trailing. Also projects the pubs to take the house by 13 seats. The Needle: Senate and House Forecast
