Of course DeSantis was allowed to redraw congressional districts to his liking and the result shocked even the Republican legislature

This was a bloodbath irrespective of congressional district lines.

The legislature didn’t redraw county lines, and the statewide Democratic candidates appear to have carried a whopping five counties: Alachua, Broward, Gadsden, Leon, and Orange. That’s literally it. Demings might eke out a tiny margin in Palm Beach (although Rubio is ahead there now), but the gubernatorial and cabinet candidates all appear to have lost even that.

We haven’t reached the end of this night but as of now:

Warnock looking good based on Atlanta counties still having a bunch to count plus lots of mail in votes. Not yet a sure thing.

Arizona wiping out Kari Lake and Kelly ahead.

    Fetterman looking fairly solid.

    New Hampshire goes for Hassan.

Nevada still has a chance and is a slight lean to democrat Masto - still in doubt

I’ve seen enough. I’m calling a blue wave.

Florida is an outlier. Republicans are well organized and did well. Rest of the country is a shit show for republicans. Gonna be some soul searching starting tomorrow.

Maricopa doesn't have enough poll workers so we won't have Nevada results tonight

But is it surprising? All we have heard is how Republicans have been flocking to Florida. In the end, does it hurt Republicans elsewhere in other races nationally now and in the presidential down the road?

Florida has been red legislatively for a long time, so being more red does nothing. It went red last presidential race, but the Democrat didn't need it. He won elsewhere and rendered red Florida moot.

It's Groundhog Day in Arizona. This time in 2020, Biden had about a 12% point lead. Ultimately, Biden won by 10k votes. Right now, Hobbs has a 12% lead over Lake. One difference? Turnout. 2020 saw 3.3 million votes in Arizona. Expected turnout this year, about 2.65 million.

Kelly has a larger lead over Masters at 17% for the Senate race.

It all comes down to where the pockets of uncounted votes are. In the rural areas, the Rs will win big. But in pockets of Tucson and Phoenix, any big D win and it could be game over for the Rs. How many, if any of these pockets are left to count? Don't know yet.

Counting will continue through the night and into the morning.

Looks like you’re correct. I’m hopeful this tells trump that he can go away. But I think trump will ultimately sink desantis. Libbies looking good for now. Damn.

Not that good for Liberals, Rs will control the house, not by as a big of a margin as expected but still control and McCarthy will soon be the speaker and his agenda of retribution against the Dems will begin, so nothing for Liberals to celebrate there. Results for Dems in the House remind me of a moral victory in sports after a loss.

Welp, obviously for me, nationally this was a complete chit show. The destruction of America into a socialist country will unfortunately continue.

I think the dems nationally didn't get blamed for our inflation issues to the extent the pubs had hoped.

NYT moves their prediction up 1 for Republican house but still at only 6. 224 over the 218 majority line. Democrats over performing.

Oh boy. An even worse projection for the Republican house.
