Normally that would be correct, but this was/is a tough year for pubs to gain senate seats. ‘24 has like 23 dem incumbents to pubs 10. That’s going to be tough for dems to not just lose more seats.

By way of my name being mentioned, I hope I may be permitted to humbly interject at this point. I have personally had nice exchanges with both of you. Indeed, we have disagreements. However, no two people agree on all things, and what a dull world it would be if we did all agree on everything.

But this fact that no two people agree on all things is a curious phenomenon, since when we discuss, we gain access to all the information held by our counterparts. Why then should disagreements persist? This appears to derive in no small part from a difference in starting place.

You two are indeed starting from different places. I personally don’t find either of you dishonest, or at least no more dishonest than the rest of us. I do, however, detect a deficit of respect, no doubt in part fueled by a similar perception on both your parts.

I don’t pretend that I have any authority to judge this dispute or any proper solutions to offer, but I don’t believe that this lack of respect is necessary. We are all humans and Gators here, and we all have bad days. Plus, all of us will later change our minds about some of the things we believe, and maybe even because we learn from the other side… but only if we start by cutting each other a little slack. There must be some legitimate evil in this world, but I don’t think it’s any of us dorks on here. If anything, it’s Kirby Smart or Jim McElwain.

It’s hard for me to give that guy any slack, I’ll easily admit to that.
I recall some of my earliest interactions on this board years ago, and dang, wgb and river(pre-mod) stood out to me. And this is before I posted, I was a lurker.
    I’ll leave it at that.
Thanks for interjecting a dose of reason and diplomacy though. I enjoy your posts almost every time.

The funny thing is, I was responding to 95, not you. Not sure why you replied as if I was talking to you. But since you did, I will agree with you on one thing. I do not like you. And that is because of the way you conduct yourself around here. I have respect for many posters here, and many that I do not agree with on the issues. That's because they generally conduct themselves with decency. You on the other hand seek out my posts, posts that often have nothing to do with you personally, so you can insult me. It's a message board, so it is what it is, though I do get tired of you following me around. You should just put me on ignore. I think we'd both be happier.

I’m happy to ignore you without having to put you on ignore. I think you may have some memory issues though.
I’d say you respond to my posts easily as much as I do to you.
Weird that you think I seek you out.
But let’s agree to leave each other alone. I’m fine with it.

I didn't mention your name, and bluke was responding to a post of mine that wasn't even directed at him. But I appreciate your posts and you add a lot of good content to the board. Thanks for that.

NBC exit poll showing what issues mattered most to Pennsylvania voters:

    36% Abortion
    29% Inflation
    11% Crime
    9% Gun policy
    7% Immigration

Interesting because many conservatives on here brushed abortion aside as an issue and said it wouldn't matter in the "red wave" overall. Looks like it was easily the #1 issue here and flipped a senate seat blue.

Abortion also looks to be playing very largely across the country.

What does this have to do with Fetterman winning and flipping a senate seat blue like he just did? Swing and a miss!

You and your polls you claim you "never use." LOL Keep posting the comedy.

Told ya. Nobody in PA wants that snake oil salesman as their governor, thank goodness they have common sense up there. Without Fetterman’s stroke it would have been a landslide.
