She took issue with him refusing to step down as SOS and using his position to illegally purge voters, who were disproportionately Black. The court smacked him down multiple times for misusing his office (in a way that benefitted him), and yet he kept doing it.

Imagine if we played FSU and FSU's assistant coaches got to pull double duty as the refs in the game. If we lost 31-28 after the FSU ref/coaches blew multiple calls in FSU's favor, we might admit that FSU won on the scoreboard, but I expect we would not concede that they won fair and square.
