UF was so limited offensively last year, hope this group finds scoring a little less difficult than last years club. Last year, it was difficult to watch the offense struggle so much. Oh - and no losing to UGA, not this year!
The big difference between BD's teams and MW's teams was that BD's offense was designed to generate open looks for shooters. I never really could figure out what offense we were trying to run under CMW. It was supposed to be some sort of dribble-drive. Mostly, it was dribble-dribble-dribble-throw-up-a-prayer.
I dunno, we had plenty of open looks, just couldn't hit $h!t. Brought in a 40% 3 pt shooter and turned him into a 30% shooter.
I am excited too but give the man some space. We were all fired up about Napier before the season, we are going 8-4 or better. Now it could be a losing season. I will give Golden a year to get use to the SEC.
Man, that’s a long read. I had to bookmark it for later. Can someone show CTG how to do the chomp without tucking his elbow? Lol
There is a huge difference between the Gator football and basketball teams this year. The football team is short on talent. The basketball team is as loaded as it has been in several years, and Golden is not likely to have a roster this talented and deep very often. So, it’s win now, and I expect the Gators to be very, very good this year.
What a great article and story. Reading that you can't help but think we have Donovan 2.0. Even their back stories are similar. Overachieving point guards, highly competitive, went to the corporate world briefly then brought back into coaching by old coaches. Looks like we have a winner here, seems like everyone feels the same way...
I just read an article from TOS on Reeves. Reeves basically confirmed as much. Reeves said he played tight afraid to make a mistake and get pulled. It wasn't a Mike White hit piece or anything just that Golden is trying to just let him play and not over think things. Hearing the players now just confirms what we had seen over and over with White. Teams playing tight.
