I’ll bite. And disagree. That’s natural Florida as it gets throughout most of the peninsula. Live oaks and sabals.
Those in the original posted pic are left quite wild. In a yard I prefer the boots removed and the fronds trimmed up a bit

“Welcome to the Beacon Drive-In, a famous Southern landmark since 1946! We're known for our Chili-Cheese A-Plenty, a chili-cheeseburger buried underneath piles of sweet onion rings and french-fried potatoes.”

I cooped one summer in Spartanburg.

My favorite palm and I like them totally untouched and gloriously ragged.

I graduated from NCO school at Fort Jackson

And I guess also the fact I met my wife in Charleston when I lived there in the mid-70s

    Hilton Head doesn't suck... (That's nice :)

Charleston is quite Southern and very historic. And, as mentioned, old town Savannah (Albeit Georgia) is nearby if needed.

I sure like the Eastern Sierra's out my way here in Cal, but my heart aches for Florida and the South in general. Once I can't ski anymore I'm heading home for Southern cooking, Florida seafood and balmy breezes with thunder and lightning.

    Go Gators.;)

    Southern food mmmmmm.
Last evening we had smothered pork chops, sweet potato, cornbread, and fresh picked collard greens from my garden. Yummy! And southern Bearclaw ice cream after that.

I did my basic training at Ft. Jackson in 1970. I'll never forget Tank Hill and Columbia in general. A lot of nice people there as I recall.

Hootie and the Blowfish were pretty cool back in the day.

But my favorite is when football pundits mimic Spurrier and say Sout Kakalacky.

Remember that fondly also having made numerous trips through the Carolinas...endless billboards advertising Pedro's, if I'm not mistaken from close to 100 miles away.
