I’ll bite. And disagree. That’s natural Florida as it gets throughout most of the peninsula. Live oaks and sabals. Those in the original posted pic are left quite wild. In a yard I prefer the boots removed and the fronds trimmed up a bit

I agree with this. We usually have to wait for a special occasion since it is so pricey but it is my favorite!

Hilton Head doesn't suck... (That's nice Charleston is quite Southern and very historic. And, as mentioned, old town Savannah (Albeit Georgia) is nearby if needed. I sure like the Eastern Sierra's out my way here in Cal, but my heart aches for Florida and the South in general. Once I can't ski anymore I'm heading home for Southern cooking, Florida seafood and balmy breezes with thunder and lightning. Go Gators.
Southern food mmmmmm. Last evening we had smothered pork chops, sweet potato, cornbread, and fresh picked collard greens from my garden. Yummy! And southern Bearclaw ice cream after that.
I did my basic training at Ft. Jackson in 1970. I'll never forget Tank Hill and Columbia in general. A lot of nice people there as I recall.
I was there for one week in 82 Inprocessing....I said this ain't so bad until I got to Ft. Benning basic training in July,/ August/September HOT... ...

Remember that fondly also having made numerous trips through the Carolinas...endless billboards advertising Pedro's, if I'm not mistaken from close to 100 miles away.
