Crazy things happen early in the year sometimes, will probably wake them up for our game next week. Thwt said, I’m not crying over it.
OU lost on a buzzer beater to Sam Houston State, and TCU were 35 point favs and beat UAPB by one, UAPB had a final shot to win it too.
we lost to Jacksonville at home in late December 2010 and went to the elite 8, won the SEC by three games and should have made the final 4 (the Butler debacle) Like I said, weird things can happen early in the year. it’s fun to watch though.
It's actually much better for us. Doesn't hurt our RPI because we play both of them, and now it will get the attention of our players. And it may just keep FSU out of the NCAAT.
Lenny the Ham is 74 years old, way past retirement age in any field except politics and F$U athletics where fans love septa and octogenarians in charge. His career highlight is equal to that of Mike White, and that guy hightailed it to Athens before we canned his ass. Whatcha hanging onto Lenny the Ham?
Basketball is like baseball. A vastly inferior team in basketball comes out and for whatever reason some guy(s) hit every shot from downtown. Much better players , for the same odd ball reason (black swan) cant sink a 5 ft uncontested jump shot. Thus the vastly inferior team wins. In baseball, a college team plays a MLB team. The MLB tattoos shots right at the fielders, out after out. The college team of inferior players hits squeezers thru holes for hits, eventually winning. The late writer (Paper Lion), George Plimpton tried baseball. Spring training, not sure of the game or venue. He faced Willie Mays in his prime. Mays flied out. Plimpton won that one battle.
After losing at home to Stetson, winless FSU is ranked #86 by kenpom. After winning on the road at FSU, unbeaten Stetson is ranked #274. 2023 Pomeroy College Basketball Ratings Gators are at #31, by the way.
