Look, I'm not trying to be elitist here but you guys haven't lived if you didn't eat at Morissons Cafeteria back on 13th during the 90s, Quincys, or China Super Buffet. Golden Corrale is bleh compared to those fine eateries.

If I am given a choice to associate with racists or self-righteous, elitists and I’d rather dodge both. Lucky for America, there are only very small pockets of racism left. Unfortunately, America has an increasingly massive growth of elitist libbies who want to turn the country upside down because they know best. Scary times for common sense hard working people.

See how you Leftists roll... No one said mentioning someone's ethnicity was racist... but you went ahead and just skipped that entire debate all together and jumped into your assumption of racism.

I always liked Ponderosa and to a lesser extent Bonanza but I think they closed loooooong ago. Closest thing we had to a Golden Corral was a place called Ryan's. Not sure if it was a chain or not.

We had a Ryan's in Pensacola at one point, so I assume it must have been a chain.

Why such a topic as this became a dinner conversation is beyond me to start with. I'm there to enjoy a meal not get all riled up at the dinner table. What I do find disconcerting is having to speak in code to designate something that would not be appropriate in public. It's just as bad when people speak a foreign language to shut you out in my opinion. You know they speak English.

Does speaking in Klingon count as code?

Maybe a local chain, ours was in PC. It's closed now.

Yeah sure that’s what I said. Last I checked I earned that BS, MBA and CPA.

One good thing about us elites is our superior reading comprehension skills.

All that education, and you skipped out on even an ounce of humility.
    Yuck.

For crappy buffet fans there are a handful of KFC buffets in the world and one is in St Augustine

I used to take my kids to Golden Corral and we enjoyed it for a while. The wife typically wouldn't go with us because it grossed her out. And the kids got tired of it after a while. And I got tired of seeing all the obese people eating there. Obese people seem to love the all you can eat buffets. Sorry Tilly, just an observation. But feel free to call me an elitist snob.

I think us fat folks like buffets as much for the variety of high calorie/high fat foods on there as the quantity of food. I can't eat a fraction of what I could eat when I was younger and in good shape. We would eat plate after plate at Chinese buffets, and I don't how they could have made a profit on us. Now, if I go to one, I'm done after two plates, and it's not even that cheap anymore.
