That part is right, but let's not pretend like Saban hasn't had a dramatic talent advantage over almost everyone for about a decade and a half at this point. Let's also not pretend that college football isn't becoming more of a business by the year and players are getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars before they step foot on campus. That's not to say that fans shouldn't be reasonable. Don't put heat on players or coaches when you win. Frankly, you shouldn't really put heat on players ever, but I don't think "heat" is the same thing as "criticism." No coach should be closer to losing his job after winning a game, no matter how ugly it was. But Saban sounds like he wants everyone to shut up, be grateful, and sunshine pump even when things aren't looking great. For a guy who has all of the advantages, he sure loves to play the victim. Poor Nick Saban has a target on his back after winning so much. A lot of coaches would trade programs with Saban right now.
Didn't read all the comments so someone else may have said it, but.... When SOS left he said, because of expectations, it became a relief to win games and not fun anymore.
They counted Bear Bryant out when he had one or two 6-5 seasons, only to come back and win a NC again. Speed bumps happen to all sports teams. Go back to the Yankees with Babe Ruth. Ever look at that roster of HOFers. Yet they did not win the pennant in 1930-31 (my memory of reading of that era). Loaded, yet just not enough.

He’s gone. If they have another season with two losses he will have the Dynasty effect. Happened to Spurrier in 2002. When you win ALL THE TIME, you don’t get long to lose a couple games with upsetting the fan base. It was weird to hear that rant juxtaposed against the cheering but that doesn’t represent the majority. People are worried in Alabama and you can like or hate him, but he’s probably the GOAT coach and he’s dead on here and the fans will run him out and then spend a decade or two realizing their mistake. Spurrier? I didn’t hear one untruth.
Poster said November of 2021. I’m sure those guys were getting paid last year at Alabama and I’m sure many got bags to leave Florida and go there.
Saban was bragging about Bryce Young's $1M + NIL deal before last season even kicked off. What a tool that guy is...he makes Bobby Bowden look like a choirboy.
